Nicholas hasn't said a word since we left the courthouse, not that I thought he would after he threatened some Skaterboy that was only trying to rest in the shade next to me.

I thought that we were going to Winslet Apartments to the penthouse.

“I thought you lived in Winslet Tower Apartments?”

He narrows his eyes at me before turning his attention back to some documents he was looking over.

His phone rings, and he takes the call, so I just flip through the photos I took at the courthouse.

“It Won't make court. I paid him off so you're in the clear,” Nicholas said, looking back down at his documents before glancing at me.

“Shes fine. Look, if you dont trust me with your daughter, then did you send her?”

Has talking to Daddy? Who did he pay off, and why would he get himself tangled up in Daddys lime of business?

Nicholas ends the call and continues on his task.
