Outside, Jordan sprinted to his motorcycle, cursing fluently as he strapped on his helmet. "A fucking extraction? At Xavier's?" he growled, gunning the engine. "What the hell are you playing at, Roberto?"

The bike roared to life, tires squealing as he peeled out of the parking lot. He weaved through traffic recklessly, earning honks and gestures from other drivers that he cheerfully returned with his middle finger.

"Every goddamn second matters," he muttered to himself, taking a corner so sharply his knee nearly scraped the pavement. "Victor's gonna flip his shit when he hears this."

He pressed the Bluetooth button on his helmet. "Call Victor," he commanded.

No answer.

"Fuck!" Jordan yelled into his helmet, trying again with the same result. Either Victor wasn't answering or the signal was bad.

As he approached Xavier's sprawling

Selena's vision blurred as Xavier's men dragged her back through the gardens. Her wrists ached from the tight grip, skin burning where rough hands dug into her flesh. Each step toward the mansion felt like a march to her execution, the grand house looming ahead like her executioner. "Mr. Alvarez is waiting in his study," one guard muttered to another. The words sent ice through her veins. She stumbled on the marble steps, but the guards yanked her upright, not slowing their pace. The beautiful day mocked her now—sunlight streaming through tall windows, illuminating the opulent interior that had been her and her son's prison for so long. And now, it might become her tomb. As they approached the heavy oak doors of Xavier's study, Selena closed her eyes briefly. Miguel's face flashed in her mind—his confusion as Roberto lifted him over the wall. Her son was free. Whatever happened now, she had accomplished that much. The doors swung open. Xavier stood at the window, his back to he

  • Sinful Desires   The Punishment_Xavier's Wrath II

As Selena watched Santiago enter with his small black suitcase, she fought to control her breathing. Despite her resolve, her heart hammered against her ribs, the steady thump-thump betraying her outward calm. She kept her face impassive, repeating the same mantra in her mind: Miguel escaped. That's all that matters. Miguel escaped. Santiago placed the suitcase on Xavier's desk with practiced precision, the soft click of the latches unnaturally loud in the quiet room. He opened it slowly, methodically removing tools that gleamed under the study's lights—steel implements with specific, horrifying purposes. The arrangement was deliberate, theatrical even, designed to maximize terror before the first drop of blood was spilled. Xavier leaned against the doorpost, arms crossed over his chest, a wicked smile spreading across his face as he observed Selena's subtle reactions—the slight flaring of her nostrils, the barely perceptible tension in her shoulders. "You know, Selena," Xavier s

  • Sinful Desires   Jordan's Suspicion

Jordan gunned the motorcycle's engine, his mind racing faster than the bike beneath him. Something wasn't adding up. Why would Roberto risk extracting a child from Xavier's fortress? And why would Selena help him, only to get herself caught in the process? The roads blurred as he pushed the bike to its limits, weaving through traffic with reckless abandon. His leather jacket whipped around him, the wind stinging his face as he replayed the scene over and over in his head. The mansion gates came into view, and Jordan slowed just enough to flash his ID at the guards. They waved him through immediately, recognizing Victor's right-hand man. Jordan whistled a jaunty tune as he pulled into the circular driveway, killing the engine with a dramatic flourish. He dismounted in one smooth motion, removing his helmet and shaking out his hair. For just a moment, the child's face flashed through his mind again. Something about those eyes, that little chin... "Nah," Jordan scoffed, dismissin

  • Sinful Desires   Jordan's Suspicion II

Maria spoke for the first time since Jordan had entered. "On his way. He just replied to my text." Victor nodded, resuming his pacing. Jordan watched him, recognizing the signs of his boss in deep thought—the slight furrow between his brows, the way his right hand absently touched the scar on his neck. "Roberto must have contacts," Victor mused aloud. "Safe houses, Something I can use." "I can find him," Jordan offered, cracking his knuckles. "Won't slip away from me twice." Victor turned to him. "I need Roberto and that child. Alive and unharmed. Understand?" "Crystal clear, boss," Jordan nodded. "I'll be gentle as a fucking butterfly." The study door opened, and Gerald entered. Unlike Jordan with his leather and attitude, Gerald was understated elegance—crisp suit, silver-streaked hair perfectly combed, weathered face betraying nothing. But today, there was something in his stance, a tension that Jordan immediately noticed. "Where have you been running off to these day

  • Sinful Desires   The Revelation To Miguel

Miguel sat on the worn couch, his small legs dangling above the floor as he hugged Mr. Growls tightly to his chest. The teddy bear was the only familiar thing in this strange house. His mind kept replaying everything that had happened today, like one of those action movies Nanny Lily never let him watch. This morning had started like any other Saturday. He'd been so excited to see his mommy, jumping at the window when her car pulled up. But then she'd taken him outside to his secret spot by the big oak tree, and everything had changed. "We're going on an adventure," she'd whispered, her eyes darting nervously toward Uncle Xavier's guards. Miguel remembered how his heart had raced with excitement. An adventure! Just like in his storybooks! But his mommy's hands had trembled as she'd lifted him over the wall, passing him to the waiting arms of a stranger on the other side. She hadn't come with him. Instead, Uncle Xavier's men had dragged her away as she screamed. "Take him! Keep hi

  • Sinful Desires   Victors Dilemma

Victor stood in his study, staring at the fire in the dimly lit fireplace. The flames danced hypnotically, casting long shadows across the room that seemed to match the dark thoughts swirling in his mind. The child might be his. He could feel it in his bones—a certainty that had taken root the moment Gerald had spoken those words. But why had Selena hidden him? What possible reason could she have had to keep his own son from him? But he mustn't jump to conclusions. Not yet.He had a flashback of them talking about baby names years ago. They had been lying in bed, Selena's head on his chest as they spoke of hypothetical futures."If we ever had a boy," she had said, her voice soft in the darkness, "what would you name him?"Victor had chuckled, running his fingers through her hair. "Alexander, after my grandfather. Strong name for a strong heir."Selena had wrinkled her nose. "Too common. What about Miguel?""Miguel?" Victor had repeated, surprised by the suggestion."It means 'who is

  • Sinful Desires   Jordan's Chase

Jordan had tracked Roberto down to a small hideout on the outskirts of the city. It was a run-down, abandoned warehouse—exactly the kind of place someone on the run would use. The building's facade was crumbling, windows boarded up with plywood that had warped in the rain. Perfect for hiding, terrible for comfort. Jordan unwrapped another chocolate bar as he settled into his surveillance position, the wrapper crinkling loudly in the quiet afternoon. He popped the chocolate into his mouth, savoring the rich sweetness. As he chewed, he whistled a tune from his childhood, something his mother used to sing. "Damn, that's good," he muttered to himself, licking the chocolate from his fingers. He reached for another bar in his pocket, then paused, remembering Maria's last lecture. "You're not twenty anymore, Jordan," she'd scolded him last week in the kitchen, snatching the candy from his hand. "Your blood pressure is probably through the roof, and your arteries are turning into cement

Jordan's heart dropped dropped when he heard that. "What the fuck do you mean gone, Gone where?" Roberto coughed, blood spattering his lips. "I told him to hide while I...I ...I ran the other way he should run." "Fuck," Jordan muttered, peering around the car. Xavier's men were closing in, moving methodically from cover to cover. They had maybe two minutes before they were surrounded. "You're telling me you left a 5 year old boy to himself?" Roberto shook his head weakly. "I had no choice. It was a contingency plan I'm case it all went to shit, the boy is smart. he would work something out in the main time before I find him." Jordan pulled away, anger flashing in his eyes. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! My life's been shit ever since I met you these past days Robert." Roberto's laugh was bitter, ending in a wet cough. "I could say the same of you. You fucked everything up with that little stunt of yours the other time." Jordan checked around the car again. Xavier's men were getting cl

Selena's diary lay open on his desk, her words like ghosts haunting the space between heartbeats. He reached for his glass of whiskey, but his hand shook so badly that it slipped from his fingers, shattering against the hardwood floor. Just like everything else in his life—broken, sharp, dangerous to touch.Five years of hatred. Five years of plotting revenge against Xavier, believing Selena had willingly betrayed him. All while she had been protecting their son, enduring God knows what horrors to keep Miguel safe."I didn't know," he whispered to the empty room, his voice cracking. "I didn't know."Something hot and wet slid down his cheek. Victor touched it, surprised. He couldn't remember the last time he had cried. Not when his mother died. Not when he was sent to prison. Not even when he believed Selena had chosen his enemy over him.But now, alone in the dark, the tears came like

  • Sinful Desires   Victor's Crosshold

Miguel's question echoed in Victor's mind long after he'd tucked his son into bed. Don't you want Mommy to come home? The truth was, Victor didn't know what he wanted anymore. For five years, anger had been his compass, pointing him forward when nothing else could. But now that compass was spinning wildly, unable to find true north. The next morning, after checking on Miguel who was still sleeping with the gold locket clutched in his small fist, Victor found himself standing in the doorway of Selena's empty room. He hadn't been inside since she left. Hadn't wanted to. Now he stepped in, the door clicking shut behind him. The space still smelled faintly of her jasmine perfume. Victor ran his fingers along the dresser top, expecting dust, but the servants had kept the room cleaned. As if expecting her return. He opened a drawer, not sure what he was looking for. Empty. She had taken almost everything, leaving behind only what she had arrived with—nothing. In the closet, a s

He pushed open the door to his mother's room.Empty.The bed was made, perfect and untouched. No clothes in the closet. No brush on the dresser. Nothing to show his mother had ever been there at all.A cold feeling spread through Miguel's chest. He ran to the kitchen, to the garden, to all their special places."Mommy?" His voice grew more frantic with each call.He found his father in the study, talking in a low voice with Gerald."Where's Mommy?" Miguel deman

  • Sinful Desires   Jordans Recovery

The hospital room was quiet except for the steady beeping of monitors. Maria sat beside Jordan's bed, her fingers gently wrapped around his limp hand. Four days had passed, and still he hadn't opened his eyes."You know," Maria whispered, thinking he couldn't hear her, "I never told you this, but that night in Barcelona... when you took that bullet for me?" She swallowed hard. "That's when I knew."She traced the outline of his bruised knuckles. "I've spent so long pushing people away. Especially you. God, I was so stupid."A tear slipped down her cheek. "Just wake up, Jordan. Wake up so I can tell you that I-""That you what?"Maria froze. Jordan's voice was hoarse, barely above a whisper, but his eyes were open—those familiar blue eyes watching her with a hint of their usual mischief."You jerk!" Maria gasped, nearly knocking over her chair as she jumped up. "How long have you been awake?"Jordan's split lip curved into a painful smile. "Long enough to hear you being all mushy. Didn

  • Sinful Desires   Hospital Vigil and Selena's Pain

Maria's fingers trembled as she held Jordan's limp hand. The steady beep of hospital machines filled the sterile room. She hadn't left his side in three days. "You idiot," she whispered, her thumb tracing circles on his bruised knuckles. "You just had to play the hero." Jordan lay still, his face swollen and discolored. Tubes ran into his arms. A breathing mask covered his nose and mouth. The doctors had been clear—his chances weren't good. Broken ribs. Internal bleeding. Severe dehydration. His body had finally given out the moment they'd reached safety. Maria closed her eyes, the memory washing over her again. That second kiss. The way his arms had wrapped around her, pulling her close like she was his anchor in a storm. Then his eyes rolling back, his body crumpling to the ground. "Don't you dare die on me," she said. "Not after everything." A knock on the door made her look up. Gerald stood there, his side bandaged beneath his shirt. "How's our boy?" he asked, moving slowly i

  • Sinful Desires   Miguel's Fear

"No! Mommy! NO!"The scream tore through the quiet mansion, jolting Victor from sleep. He was moving before his mind fully registered what was happening, feet hitting the cold floor as he ran toward his son's room.Miguel was thrashing in bed, tears streaming down his small face, fighting some invisible enemy in his dreams."Miguel." Victor sat on the edge of the bed, gathering the boy into his arms. "Wake up, mijo. It's just a dream."Miguel's eyes flew open, wild with terror. For a moment, he didn't seem to recognize Victor."You're safe," Victor murmured, rubbing small circles on the boy's back. "No one can hurt you here."Miguel's small body was hot with fear, his heart racing against Victor's chest. "The bad men were taking Mommy away again," he whispered.Victor closed his eyes, feeling his son's pain like a physical thing. "Your mommy is safe too. She's just down the hall.""Can I see her?" Miguel pleaded, his voice small and lost.Victor hesitated. It was past midnight. The ru

  • Sinful Desires   The Distance

The helicopter blades slowed as they landed at Victor's estate. The night had been long. Too long. Bodies had been cleaned up, loose ends tied, and wounds patched. Victor carried a sleeping Miguel in his arms, the boy's small head resting against his shoulder. Each breath from his son felt like a miracle—a child he hadn't known existed just weeks ago. Behind him, Selena limped up the marble steps of the mansion, her face still bearing the marks of Xavier's cruelty. Thomas helped her walk, his own shoulder bandaged where the bullet had torn through. "Put her in the east wing," Victor told Gerald without looking at Selena. "She'll have everything she needs there." Something flashed across Selena's face—pain, understanding, resignation. She said nothing as Gerald led her away, her eyes lingering on Miguel's sleeping form. Victor stood in the grand foyer, his son in his arms, watching her disappear down the hallway. The space between them felt like miles. --- Three days passed in st

A tiny figure appeared in the doorway, his eyes wide with fear and confusion.Miguel stood there clutching his teddy bear, Mr. Growls, to his chest. His voice was small and scared when he noticed his mom being held at gunpoint.Selena's face drained of color. "Miguel! No!" she whispered.Xavier's attention snapped to the boy, his eyes lighting up with sudden calculation. The gun in his hand wavered, then slowly turned toward the child."Come here, boy," Xavier called, his voice honey-sweet despite the madness in his eyes.Victor noticed the shift, saw the way Xavier's body language changed. For all his cruelty, Xavier must have grown fond of the boy who had once called him uncle. It was there in the slight softening around his eyes, the hesitation in his trigger finger.Migue
