Alexander’s POV

This was my home and that made it Zara’s home, she had always told me that she had never had a home and her home was wherever I was, so she had been laid to rest right here in my ancestral home, I stood over her grave as the wet sand was poured all over the shiny coffin, the skies had decided to let loose its fury today, it had rained all night and even now, it still drizzled lightly. It seemed unreal to me as though it was all a nightmare and I might wake up but that was merely wishful thinking, it was not likely to happen.

The funeral was complete and I was driven back home, the drive had been a blur and I had no idea when we arrived, I only realized we had arrived home when someone said so, I was not even sure who had driven me home, was it Sam or Xavier? Faces were beginning to run together now and it was hard to tell which was which.
