Meghan’s POV
I lazily fluttered my eyes open to the tingling sensation all over my body thanks to my beloved’s tight hold as we slept. I could feel his hot breath fanning my nape, his cock poking my lower back and his hand around me, consequently resting on my plump mound. A small smile formed on my face whilst I gently removed myself from his hold, turning around so that I could see his handsome face.I couldn't help but be impressed by what a day or two with one’s true soulmate could do to a person. This man, who looked troubled even in his sleep a day ago looked so peaceful, his frail aura was much healthier and quite stronger. He was healing, and that made me very happy. My hand trailed the side of his face, brushing back his soft strands as I silently admired his facial features. Smiling, I closed the space between us and pecked his slightly parted lips. Concentrating on my flames, my parted lips remained over his as I breathed out more strands of my soul into him. I could feel his aura getting stronger and that was what I wanted to feel. I wanted to speed up his healing process, I wanted to break his shell and since we already mated, I saw no harm in doing the best I could to make him better. I stopped feeding him and lifted my head up to it’s original position. Smiling, I lightly traced the features on his face, revelling at the sparks that ignited from the touch. His lips curled into a smile, and my heart skipped a beat at the beautiful sight. I would give anything and everything to wake up to this, everyday, for the rest of my existence.“Good morning...” he rumbled as he finally fluttered his eyes open, capturing mine.“You told me that exactly three hours ago,” I grinned. He chuckled, "It's not my fault that I can't get enough of you.”No one had ever lasted beyond an hour with me without dying or losing consciousness—unless I fucked an incubus who mainly avoided my ass because of my father. My feeding habits may heal me, give me the strength I sought, fill me in a way but they cost my partners or victims their lives if not most of their life forces. Thus, nobody had ever managed to rock my world properly whilst providing me with all I could eat buffet, not until yesterday, and he ended up getting a mere three hours sleep. "I loved it.” I told him, resting my hand on his cheek.“This is unusual in our world. The longest one can go, as in mating, is eight hours.” He mumbled.“And here you are, striking the number times two.” I beamed, recalling the hot moments we shared since the prior day afternoon. He smirked, remaining still as he looked at me. His expressive eyes showered me with adoration, with so much warmth that made me melt inside. I was falling hard for him, and I had no plans on rescuing my smitten heart, for I had already surrendered it the moment he sunk his teeth into me.“Tell me more about yourself.” He muttered, pulling me impossibly close to him, and I snuggled my head against his chest. He wrapped his hands around me and mine slid around him, and just like that, we remained in each other’s embrace.I sighed with contentment, as I revelled in his warmth. "I was born about eighty years ago, to a human mother and a demon father.”“Quite an oldie, aren't we?” he teased.“Oh hush!” I smiled. He gently pressed me against him whilst pressing a kiss over my head, "Keep up, I’m listening.”“I’m their second born. My twin brother is the eldest. He was just itching to get out first and I let him.”He chuckled, "I’m sure you didn't make it easy for him.”I nodded, "I bet I didn't, but I was too weak to fight him.”“Why do you say so?”"Because he was born with a dominant demonic side and my father was thrilled. I on the other hand, was born with a dominant human side."“What happened?”"Trouble. My father forced me to live in the underworld with everyone else, and that didn't bear well with a new born me. I almost died, for at the time, I was mortal and mortals can't live in hell unless they're dead.”"With everyone else? How could your mother live there? She was human right?”“She died, the moment I was delivered. But she didn't exactly die, it was a process my father put her through, to change her.” I explained.“He turned her into a demon?!”I couldn't see his expression, but the surprise in his tone was evident. "It is the only way to be with a full demon. You turn into one.”"Wow.” He breathed, "Does it mean...”I could sense his curiosity. "Yes and No. I’ll tell you all about it some other time.”He nodded, "Then what happened to you? How did you live?”“Like any other human out there.” I briefly paused, "When he finally realized that I wasn't fit to live down there with them, he took me to my grandparents, who by the time were still mourning for their daughter. Everyone thought my mother died along with us due to hard labour, so you can imagine the shock. In the end, he had to spill the beans to make them understand and summon their daughter for them to verify.”“It must have been hard for them.”"It was, but in the end, they happily accepted me and I filled the spot of their dead daughter. It turned out it was all my mother’s plan while she was still human. She was the only child, and the thought of leaving her parents behind gutted her. She wanted me to have a dominant human side, so that I'd stay back and console my grandparents.”He nodded, "I can see why your parents are mates.”I smiled, "They’re both crafty. My father can get real tough, well he is cold; but my mother’s presence smoothers things out. With all that cold, evil side he has, my mother remains to be his soft spot—his main weakness.”“Just like you are to me.” He pressed a peck yet again on my head, and I smiled, finally understanding why my heart chose him. "Then how did you become a full demon?” He inquired.I giggled, "Do you think my father would let his only daughter live as human?”"Oh, man!”I nodded, "He started teaching me the demonic ways as early as he could. I mastered the basics when I was only seven. While everyone held onto their crosses as they prayed, I was busy guiding the lost souls who were stuck in a limbo to the hell’s gate. I looked so innocent that they thought I was an angel sent to guide them to wherever they thought would've been appealing to them.”I could feel him gulp.“Then again, I stopped, much to my father’s dismay and guess who was behind it?”"Your mother.”I nodded. "She wanted someone to share her still lingering human feelings with, the feelings neither my dad nor my brother had. My father’s teachings were fuelling my demonic side, giving it power to fight against my human side. In the end, it would grow too strong and I'd have to choose. That was all my father wanted, hope, to have me back by his side, down there with the rest of the family he held dear. He never really liked humans, my kind can't stand them, and the thought of sharing me with them, even if the people he'd share with were actually his in-laws, irritated him.”“And your mother couldn't stop him from strengthening your demonic side?”“All it took was to enjoy the gruesome deeds I'd do, either by his supervision, or on my own. When my mother finally got him to stop, it was too late. I was embracing my both sides. I remained a sweet little Meghan to all who pleased me and turned Lilith when I got too angry and out of control.”"It's hard to raise a child like you, with your dad lurking in the shadows.”“I'm sure of one thing though. It wasn't his fault when I hit puberty. My first kiss ended with the guy in comma for six months. He almost died and I barely stopped myself. That's when I discovered my main feeding source. I feed on lust and its involuntary. Perhaps, that's why I was born with exceptional looks, its actually my primary weapon and when someone falls for it, they die and I become stronger.”“You feed on lust...” He murmured.“Only yours by now. I've never really made love all my life. I mainly fed. Being with you feels different. You make me feel like a woman, and that's hard to come by. You're the only one for me.”“And it will stay that way.” He muttered, his hold a tad tighter than a couple of seconds back.Sighing with a smile, for I found myself loving his possessiveness, I continued, "I tried to control my urges but they were just too strong and my brother, Aamon enjoyed the show when he could. He would sometimes join the hunt to pump me into fulfilling my darkest desires and I would observe him to find we shared a lot more than similar faces.”"Wait, you share...”“We could've been called identical twins if he were to be a girl or vice versa.”“Well aren't you a ball full of interesting surprises.” He muttered.I shrugged, "Trust me, I wasn't all evil and stuff. That was only a part of me that conflicted me. I embraced it and sometimes suppressed it. I lived mainly as human most of the time but I could only make demon friends. Somehow, I couldn't land myself a human friend. My best friend, the only person I shared almost everything with, was Aamon. I guess he won't be liking you very much now that you came into the picture.”He snorted, "I'll live."That made me giggle.“Where are your grandparents now? Or let me rephrase it, where are they buried?”I gulped, for I was about to share the most sensitive thing that happened to me. "I was sixteen at that time, and my mother was pregnant with our last sibling—Azazel. She was so sad, she missed her best friends. She was a mess and the only way to calm her down, was only if she met her friends—after like sixteen years.” I laughingly finished as I felt my eyes sting. "The pregnancy hormones and stuff where fuelling her longing and my father worried about her, and the baby. Carrying an immortal child is risky even for immortals, you know.”He nodded. "I don't, but thanks for the info.”“So, I had to make a visit. I met her friends, some of them were married and had beautiful kids, some were still finding themselves. I talked to her closest friend in their little squad they used to have—Lori was her name and I told her about my mother. They all knew my father, my mother introduced him before she died, and they knew she was pregnant. They couldn't dispute my identity and they actually agreed to meet her. But as I was about to go home, I heard my father summon me. It felt urgent.”FlashbackUpon appearing back to my balcony, I came face to face with my father and brother, both with grim expressions. “What a pleasant surprise!” I beamed.“Oh, you will be!” Aamon responded with amusement.“Come here, little Lilith!” Dad extended his hand to me and I obediently walked to him.He sat on one of the chairs on the balcony while my brother stood at the edge, looking down at the gardens.“Where is Mum?” I asked them as I sat on my father's lap. He slid his hand on my back so that I sat comfortably and kissed my forehead.“She is fine, just resting.” He said with a smile. My father rarely showed this side to any of us except my mother. I narrowed my eyes at him.“Is there anything I should know about? This is so unlike you!” I told him.“I’m forced to do this for your human side. I am your father after all,” He responded as I looked at him funny.“Well, clearly, her human side won't help her this time!” Aamon mumbled.“Why? What's going on?” My gaze shifted between the two.“Your grandparent's car was sabotaged, and consequently, they had a quite terrible accident on their way back.” My father carefully informed me.“WHAT?”“They are dead.” Aamon clarified.“And you're in no condition to go to the underworld yet.” My father added. That's what he only cared about. Why were they so crude about it! They could have chosen much softer words. Ah, who am I kidding.Disbelief and Denial were all I could feel. They’re gone? For the first time in my life, I felt something churn in my chest, twisting painfully. My head heated up, and I felt my face flush. My nose flared and my mind whirled as I took in the news.My grandfather? My sweet grandparents? My breathing became difficult; it came out as pants, while the only thing my trembling lips could say was, “It’s not true.” Over and over again.I felt a stinging sensation in my eyes, and before I knew it, tears rolled down, wetting my cheeks. Hiccups seized my lungs as more tears brimmed on my eyes, that my vision got blurry. I was crying. I have never cried in my entire life; I couldn't! But here I am now.I rose from my father's lap and ran into my room where I tossed myself on my bed. I couldn't believe it! It all felt like a lie. I abruptly felt Aamon’s hands engulf me into a warm embrace that buzzed my body with comfort as I continued crying my eyes out. There were black tear stains everywhere, staining my sheets and my skin but I didn't care. I just wanted to know who did this so that I destroyed them myself. Along with all the people they cared about.“That, my sister, is why I am here,” Aamon whispered.I knew neither Aamon nor father truly cared about my grandparents. But they cared about my mother and I. My father must had foreseen my reaction; that's why they were here. And for my mother, I hoped they didn't tell her until she went to labour.Hours passed, and it soon became dark outside and all over my room. It was quiet, so damn quiet that all I could hear, was our breathing. I could still feel Aamon’s hands over my abdomen, and I sighed. I wasn't crying anymore; what's the point? I flipped to face my brother, who was still holding me. One look on my face, and he smiled. “Took you long enough.”Aamon could see it in my eyes and felt it. It was the last and final hit and I found abandoning the sentiments that deterred me from fully being a demon. What was the use of remaining human, whilst I couldn't protect those who I loved?A intense kind of heat started to radiate all over my body and I abruptly felt pain shoot all over from my joints to my spine and finally spreading up to my head.“Don’t fight it; let go.” Aamon chanted in a demonic language. “Rise and Avenge!”Furry wasn’t the only thing that ruled my head, but also retribution. The more heat I felt, the more hungry I got and my heartbeats accelerated. Sensing that, Aamon pulled me up to stand straight and before I could do anything, he crashed his lips onto mine.I couldn't think; my head was all blank. It was mainly our bodies reacting to a situation, and I knew exactly what was going to happen. “Don’t fight it! Let go!” his voice echoed in my head as I felt a surge of raw power in my body. Our bodies shivered in unison as he started to transform. I felt his sharp teeth bite my lower lip, causing blood to rush out, and he took his fill. In no time, my turn came. With my eyes still closed, I inhaled whilst he instinctively froze. I took what I wanted and felt my body quiver as new raw energy surged within me.The good feeling didn't last as I abruptly felt my back crack, sending a wave of pain all over my body. The stage was mutual for him too for I could felt it through our bond.Moments later, my eyes reopened and took in a magnificent black-crimson winged creature standing before me. He had a well-defined body with them sexy abs, a large manhood and toned legs. His bat-like wings were big enough to envelop us both, and they ebbed powerful aura that almost dominated me. His horns weren’t as big as my father’s, but he was getting there, and his aced tail stretched dangerously in the air.His eyes blazed with dangerous flames while his crimson lips stretched into a sadistic smirk. Every pore of his body emanated negative energy. Everything about him was sinister and dark—a beautiful sin.“Are you ready?” He hissed.I turned around and faced the mirror. We looked exactly the same except for my figure that looked much more feminine. My instincts kicked in, and my body shivered with obedience. It was time for a blood bath.“Take me to them.” I hissed.*I closed my eyes as I held onto my beloved, pushing back the tears that threatened to surface. "Lilith was a name my father gave me, because he looked forward seeing me being one of the greatest demons to in existence next to my siblings—to make him proud. And his wish finally came true.”He pulled back and craned his neck to meet my gaze. Reaching for my chin, he lifted my face and captured my glassy orbs. His then traced the side of my face, brushing the loose strands of my hair back. Slowly, he leaned in and gently captured my lips, for a long and slow passionate kiss. When we finally came up gasping for air, the air had already changed and both our bodies buzzed with need. Crimson specs formed within his brown orbs, as he stared at me with so much desire.Sighing, if we started it now, who knew when we’d stop. He had nothing to eat for more than sixteen hours other than my blood and he didn't have enough rest as it is. In the end, he had to heal—wholly and I had to make sure of it.With that, I gently shrugged myself off him and hurriedly sat up. "You need to rest, first.”Right on cue, he yawned, "Come back.”Smiling, I leaned in and pecked his smooth lips. "You have the rest your life to spend with me. What's a mere couple of hours?”He reached for my head and pulled me down to him as he crushed our lips yet again, and this time I almost caved in. A couple of seconds later, I gently pulled back and pushed him back down, "Sleep.” I beamed.“I'm horny. Let me feed you.” He smirked.“Xavier!” I exclaimed, hoping off to bed. I paused on my feet, looking at him as he smiled at me before walking away, disappearing into my closet in quest of another pair of men’s clothing I kept specially for my brothers. As I eventually found a fitting pair, I placed them over the chest of drawers knowing he’d easily find them there before I disappeared into the bathroom, for a quick morning routine.Moments later, when I walked back into the room, I found him sound asleep and I quietly slid onto the first sun dress I found. Casting a last glance his way, a smile graced my face before I finally exited the room.Deciding on hitting the porch swing for a short while, I slowly made my way downstairs. A sudden familiar feeling engulfed me as I descended the stairs and the moment I my feet landed on the ground floor, I came face to face with a man standing in the middle of the entry way and I halted. He was dressed in a long dark robe that stretched to the ground below, concealing his feet. His medium-length jet-black hair with sides cut short was elegantly pompadour-styled, exposing his square-shaped face and an indifferent expression. His cold dark-blue orbs regarded mine for a moment before dropping to the raw mark on my neck, and I could clearly see his jaw tick.Capturing my gaze again, a flash of disappointment crossed in his eyes making me heave a sigh as I stared back at him with matching indifference. Deciding on breaking the cold ice, I stepped forward and spoke up.“Fancy to see you, father."Feeling uncomfortable under his burning glare, I cleared my throat, trying once again to rid the tension between us. “Dad...”He narrowed his eyes.“Are you going to glare at me all day?”“Why do you choose to vex me?” he finally spoke, his voice calm but I knew better.“It’s my life.” I crossed my hands over my chest, mirroring his cold expression.“Thanks to who?” he arched his brow.“That still doesn’t give you the right to control me.” I pointed out before I spun on my heels and strolled towards the kitchen. I knew this was bound to happen; there has never been more of a perfect mate for his daughter other than Abaddon. I fought the urge to roll my eyes as I kept walking. I eventually sauntered through the kitchen’s entryway and made it straight to the cupboards in a quest for dishes to use.“You’re being stubborn, Lilith.” I heard him talk by the entrance“Guess where I got that from.” I walked to the fridge and took out the ingredients I needed, placing them on the worktop.“You

Her shoulder-length dirty-blonde locks curtained her face all the while she remained facing the ground whilst her hands anxiously fidgeted over her apron."Why are you so nervous, Dora?" My curiosity won, and I had to ask.She shook her head, "I-I’m just surprised, Alpha”I frowned at her state as it got worse with every second I stood before her. Alpha Max’s POVIt’s past dinner, but my appetite doesn’t quite agree with me putting anything into my mouth. Have you ever felt helpless? Have you ever felt so screwed and hopeless, for there is nothing you do that prospers?Have you ever felt weak and constantly humiliated?Trust me, your deteriorating self-esteem will screw your pride and dominance if that were to happen to you. One would ask how I know this, and I'll confess—This is what I currently face.Coming from an ordinary pack, with only a few thousands packmates, one would think life is nothing but peaceful. For who would want to ruin such a harmless pack?Wrong.Sometimes being ordinary is a crime. Being weak is a crime—a crime that ripped my parents from me, leaving me to take on their enemies—inexperienced, alone and secluded. What would you do in my shoes? Would you run and leave the remaining of your family, your friends and your followers to die? Perhaps if you stay, would you be able to overcome all with how weak you are?All the training my father gave me seemed to have gone to waste; I can’t even defeat my beta in sparrin

As I ignored the slight pounding in my head, my narrowed eyes continued to scan the paper in my hands keenly, careful not to skip any detail that’d be fatal later on. A soft knock on the door caught my attention, and I looked up, spotting my beta lazily slipping in.He was a tall fellow, dark with a bulk frame that slightly surpassed mine. We grew up together and literally had been through thick and thin as we watched each other’s backs. He was a tough fellow that had my utmost trust, he was more than a best friend-he was a brother.Sporting a di
