And after a moment of just sitting and crying quietly, Layla decided to pull herself together, she dried her eyes and dragged in a deep breath to calm herself before she spoke again.

“Truly Calan, I feel sorry for your wife, the poor thing doesn’t know what she’s gotten herself into”. She said to him.

Calan merely shook his head.

“We’ve been married for two years, you really think she doesn’t know what she’s gotten into?”. He asked her.

And a humorless chuckle left her.

“She will, just give her three more years”. She said. “She has no idea just how much you can rip a girl’s heart out, just how much you can render a person useless to themselves”.

“Will you ever forgive me?”. He asked her.

And she shook her head almost immediately.

“I don’t quite think so”. She replied quietly. “You ruined me to the point that being with another man makes me feel weird, to the point that another man’s touch just isn’t satisfying”.
