She sat there staring at him, her smile still in place: it wasn't difficult to see the clear adoration in her eyes.

"You should never have stopped playing". She told him. It was so very clear that he loved to play, it was clear that it calmed him, gave him a sense of peace.

His gaze flickered from hers to the piano and then back again.

"It truly wasnt easy to not stopped playing". He told her. He let out a heavy breath. "My father thought me how to play, and when things became.....uneasy between him and i, i sort of just started getting detached from playing".

She averted her gaze from his, his eyes seemed to sad.

"And when he....". She said quietly.

She couldnt complete what she wanted to say but he understood her, and he nodded.

"I stopped playing all together". He said.

And her gaze flickered back to his.

"I'm sorry". She said quietly.

He shook his head.

"I was trying to cheer you up". He said before clearing his throat. "Lets not get distracted".

And she pulled on th

Third Person's POV Calan's eyes fluttered open on hearing his phone ringing softly from the nightstand, he let of Alexa gently before reaching out and picking up the vibrating device. On seeing that it was Micheal calling he assumed it had something to do with Leela, and so he pushed the covers of himself and got out of bed before answering the call. "What's up?". He said as he walked to the other side of the room. He didn't want Alexa waking up to hear him discussing Leela and what had happened earlier. "Nothing much as of now". Micheal replied. "You good? You sound like you've been on sedatives". He rolled his eyes before shaking his head. He cleared his throat nonetheless. "I was asleep". He replied. "It's four in the evening". Micheal said, he sounded unapologetically judgemental. Calan combed his fingers through his hair. He obviously hadnt called to tell him about the status of the case with Leela. "What exactly is it that you wanted?". He asked him. "How's Alexa?".

THIRD PERSON'S POV Alexa fingers fumbled absentmindedly with the keys of the piano in Calan's room. She stared blankly at nothing in particular as she ran her fingers over the keys again and again while Calan sat by the other end going over some work on his MacBook. He had somehow managed to block out the sound of the distorted piece Alexa was playing. It had been a few hours since they returned from dinner with Micheal and April, and Alexa seemed to have to been distracted by what ever thought she had been having. She had been that way since she returned from the restroom with April, but she didn't seem sad or upset so he simply let the matter be. 'You think we did the right thing letting them go?'. He had asked Micheal when Alexa had left with April to the restroom. She had after all, told him that she believed April was mad at her, and they both knew how April could be from time to time. 'Yeah. They obviously need to talk things out'. Micheal had replied. 'That's not what

Third person's POV Alexa found it rather hilarious that she was actually doing this; opening an instagram account to save herself from the humiliation and sneer of her peers. Everything proceeded smoothly, and when it was time to upload a profile picture she found herself becoming indecisive of what to choose. The pictures she had were all either too plain and empty or too....too plain and empty. "Do you think i should take a picture on my way out tomorrow?".She asked him. She had abandoned her seat to settle in the one closest to him so he could see the screen of her phone. "You're not going to attend classes tomorrow. And why wait till tomorrow to take a picture?". He asked her. She glanced down at what she was wearing. "I cant possibly take a picture like this". He told him."You dont have to take a full picture". He said. "But my hair's a mess". A dark smirk curved his lips and he nodded consideringly. "Perfect". He said. And before she could comprehend what he meant

Third person's POV Alexa gently bushed her fingers through Calan's hair as she stared ahead blankly. They had showered, had breakfast and returned upstairs so Calan could get some sleep, he had told her to go shopping or something while he took a nap but she had insisted on staying with him. "You'll have something to post on your timeline". He had told her. "I don't care about my stupid timeline". She had replied. And he had sighed resignedly. "What will you do while I'm asleep then?". He had asked her. She hadn't needed to think much before replying. "I'll stay with you and watch over you". She had said. And here she was. He had laid his head on her lap and she had brushed her fingers through his hair every now and then. She knew that worrying would truly do nothing but she couldnt help it. He had barely eaten during breakfast and he still had a slight fever, she was resisting the urge to call Dr. Waltz. However, she knew she tended to be overdramatic sometimes, and so she

Third person's POV Alexa's followers had continued to increase and they were demanding a reaction from her. They had rushed to comment on every post she shared, and when she chose not to reply to a single one of them they had flooded her DM with messages, some hateful, some mildly hateful, and some were just curious really. 'Hey, is it true you had a baby and lost it?' 'Hey! Stop fucking around with your friend's man and answer our messages!' 'Is it true that you're dragging Leela to court?' 'Bitch! You have the perfect life yet you're so not perfect!' 'Follow back!' 'Still hiding?' Alexa rubbed her temple wearily as she continued to scroll through the messages, more and more just kept on coming in and she was getting rather tired of them all. 'You're just a caward who wont even show her real face! Leela probably left a scar to teach you a lesson' Her gaze lingered on the message and for some reason a bolt of boldness surged through her. She found herself brushing her hair

Third person’s POV The cold water enveloped her foot first as she dipped it into the water, it sent a shiver down her spine and caused her heart to race.“Come on”. Calan coaxed. She let the water envelope most of her body as she lowered herself into the pool fully. To says he felt uncoordinated and awkward would be a serious understatement really; it was weird just floating there while trying to tentatively move her legs in strokes. She liked the feeling though, she liked how the cool water felt against her skin, she liked how it just seemed to make room for her as she went deeper. “It’s not so bad, is it?”. He asked her as she gripped his hands tightly. She shook her head. It actually wasn’t, just long as her head didn’t go underneath. “No, not at all”. She replied. “It’s…..exhilarating”. He chuckled while nodding agreeingly. “You’ll find it even more exhilarating if you didn’t have to hold my hands so tightly”. He told her. She looked down at her hands which were holding

Alexa's POV We had stayed by the pool talking about random stuff still we realized that it wasn't so hot and bright anymore, we headed back inside though i didn't want to just yet. Calendar had insisted that we go in because he didnt want be catching a cold or something. "So, apart from celebrities and fictional characters, there has to have been a real person you've had a crush on". He had said as we had made our way back upstairs. My cheeks had heated up at once on thinking about my crushes. Had i crushed on a person for real before? It was a big yes, obviously. I had firsy had a big crush on Michael, and then him...... But how was i to say that? How was i to tell him that? I hadn't responded, and strangely he hadn't asked again either. Now in my room, i had changed into a comfortable chiffon dress and was drying my hair with a towel when i heard a knock on the door. "Come in". I called out. I had expected it to be Mildred who wanted to ask me about dinner or something, but

ALEXA POV My eyes widened at not just the sudden incursion but also the confession he had just made. My heartbeats slowed as i tried to process all that was happening; it had happened all too quickly. One moment i was in his arms with him kissing me fervently, and the next thing i knew i was lying on my back and was feeling the blissful sensation of his hands roaming around my body and feeling me up. It was happening all too quickly, so quickly that i couldn't stop myself from saying; "Wait..." "I don't want to, Alexa". He replied while trailing kisses on the side of my neck. My head fell back in pleasure and for a split second i almost lost my mind. "Calan.....wait". I said, the breathy voice in which i spoke probably didn't make it sound like i truly wanted him to wait but he did. He stopped trailing kisses on my neck but continued to hover over me nonetheless. His eyes were all dark now and he looked almost....upset. "Are you mad at me?". I asked him while truing to st

Alexa's POV I had called Sasha before leaving school but she hadn't picked up, and so i had decided to head back home knowing i could always call her or go to her apartment later on. I probably looked downcast as i sat in the living room staring blankly at the tv screen cause Mildred walked up to me looking slightly worried. "Is there a problem, Mildred?". I asked her. And she shook her head. "I was going to ask you the exact same thing". She said to me. "You look rather sad". Lately it was unusual to see me was, i was always happy or at ease since i was mostly with Calan. I wasn't worried about anything except my friends and my exams. I blew out a breath. "I'm fine". I told her. "I just have a thing or two on my mind". She offered me a warm smile. "That's understandable dear". She said to me. "But do talk to someone if something worries you, it's never good to keep it in". I nodded. "Thank you so much". I said to her. She smiled once more before turning around and walking a

Third person POV For some unknown reason, Alexa had woken up the next day feeling completely scared and unprepared for the exams. Perhaps it was due to the fact that she had been feeling too confident about the whole thing yesterday. What if she had been too confident? What if she ended up seeing question she just couldn't answer? She had even been unable to eat her break fast, she had lost her appetite and Calan had noticed. "What's the problem?". He asked her. "I dont know.....". She replied quietly. "I just dont feel prepared for the exams today". He arched a brow slightly. "You went over the whole course handout with Michael yesterday, correct?". He asked her. And she nodded. "And you understood what he taught you?". He asked. Shw nodded once more. "Then that's all that matters". He told her. "You've got this". She cleared her throat quietly. "What....what if i get confused?". She asked him. He shook his head. "Dont think about it now, dont worry about anything". He

Alexa's POv "Why do you look this way?". Calan asked me as he draped his arm around me for a hug which i hadn't known i had needed till now. He placed a lingering kiss on my head before rubbing my back soothingly. "I'm just so tired". I told him. "That's understandable. Did The lectures go well?". He asked me. And i nodded. After my talk with micheal i had felt better, and we had even gone over the last pages. I was all done now and i had never been more confident about writing an exam. "That's good to know*. He said Against my head. "It was worth it". I nodded once more. We were in the parking lot standing leaning against the car almost lazily while the cool evening's breeze blew softly. "I missed you". He told me. And i looked up at him while my cheeks heated up slowly. "I...i missed you too". I told him. "So much". We had spent yesterday indoors in each other's company, he had helped me study and all, and then later on we had lost ourselves in each other's embrace.

Alexa's Point of view How long had it been? Two hours? Three? More? I had lost track during the course of the lesson, and though i was actually understanding Micheal's lectures, i couldn't help but feel really exhausted. I leaned into my seat tiredly and let out a breath as i tried to focus on what he was saying. The fact that i had been sitting in the same spot for more than three hours now didnt help at all, my body felt stiff and almost numb, even my brain was beginning to protest. I hadn't thought he had meant it so much when he had said i wouldnt be leaving till he was convinced i was ready to approach tomorrow's questions. A small groan left me before i could stop myself, and his gaze flickered up to mine. He probably took in the sorry sight i made cause his eyes softened and he also leaned back into his seat. "Tired?". He asked me. And i nodded immediately. He heaved a sigh before rubbing his temple wearily. "Fair enough, we've been on it for some time now". He sa

Alexa's perspective Examinations had started and to say i was stressed out would be an understatement. All the days of skipping school and spacing out in classes where beginning to take their toll on me. I had decided to not leave immediately after i was done with my exam for the day, and so i found myself sitting in the library while trying my very best to go over some of the work Micheal had covered. I groaned almost exasperatedly. I had beenbat this for hours and i still wasn't getting it right, i was beginning to lose my mind now. I was even beginning to think i was losing my mind. The words on the pages were getting all jumbled up and my eyes were getting sore from having stared at the page for so long. I blew out a breath before shaking my head. I would find someone to explain it to me but of course, i had no one. Sasha and Raymond weren't taking the course and so they couldn't help me, and it truly would be embarrassing to me if i failed Micheal's course. My gaze snapped

Third person POV April woke up to the feel of Micheal's fingers combing through her hair tenderly. Her eyes fluttered open and she found him right where he had been before she had fallen asleep, and she took a moment to just stare at him, took a moment to realize that her stomach wasnt killing her anymore. "You're awake". He said to her. She nodded. "You stayed". She said quietly. "Of course". He replied. "Are you feeling better?". "Yeah. Thank you". She replied. He smiled. "That's good to know". He told her. "I was begining to lose my mind". And a faint smile curved her own lips. "I guess we had that in common". She said quietly. He combed his fingers through her hair once more. "Why dont you ever go to the hospital?". He asked her, he was rather serious now. "I hate hospitals". She replied simply. He shook his head. "I do not wish for a next time, but if there is to be one....we're going to the hospital". He told her. She shook her head. "There's no need". She to

Third person's POV How long had it been since she went upstairs? A few hours, and if she wasnt asleep then it was very unlike her to not have come to him. And so, Micheal had decided to go upstairs and check up on her. Of course he had been surprised to see her curled in the middle of the bed looking all disheveled and pained, even the sheets were disheveled. He had hurried to her at once and gathered her into his arms. "Hey". He said as he brushed her hair from her hair softly. "What's wrong?". For a moment he feared she was having an emotional breakdown or something, giving all that had been happening lately. And on seeing the tears streaming down her cheeks, he became even more alarmed. "Cramps". She told him quietly. His eyes widened slightly and he once again brushed her hair from her face. "What can i do to help?". He asked her. A shuddering breath left April and she held onto his arms tightly. She let the fraagrance of sandal wood soothe her. "Hold on to me...".

Third person's POV Cramps.... April had seen the cramps coming, she had known it would be a shitty day ahead. What she hadn't known however was that it would be painful and teary. After breakfast, she had gone up to her room to get some sleep while Micheal had retired to his study to tend to a thing or two. It had started out well, she had managed to numb her thoughts and had even managed to fall asleep. However, she had woken up to the a dull but rather disturbing pain in her stomach. She had assumed it wouldn't get worse, she had assumed it wouldn't intensify and cause her to break down completely. But soon enough she founs herself clutching her stomach while curling herself up in a ball on her bed as tears streaked down her cheeks again and again. It had actually been a while since she had experienced so much pain during her period, it took her back to her days in college. Days in which she'd lie and cry within the walls off her apartment; being a person who didn't have actu

Third person's pov April woke up to the all to familiar feeling of wet warmth pooling in her panties. Her eyes widened as all sleepiness left her. She hastily pushed the cover off her body and climbed out of bed hoping she hadnt made a mess on the sheets.....on Micheal's sheets. The dull light barely penetrating the curtains told her that the sun was just beginning to rise; it meant she had a long day ahead of her, a long day with cramps and moodswings, a long day of being aware of the fact that.....she wasn't pregnant. Micheal's eyes fluttered open slowly on hearing the rustling of silks as April quickly slid on the robe of her night dress. "April? Is there a problem?". He asked her while blinking a couple of times to get rid of the sleepiness. She spun around to face him at once. "I...i need to go to my room". She told him. "Sorry i woke you". He shook his head. "Why are you in such a hurry though?". He asked her. How could she not be in a hurry when she feel the blood no
