Chapter 75- The Funeral

Three days had passed, and it was now the day of Angela’s funeral. The autopsy results showed that she had passed away from a single gunshot, but had recently also been diagnosed with cervical cancer, something she was yet to tell her family.

It was just after ten in the morning when Aria arrived at the church where the funeral was taking place. She was wearing a simple black long-sleeved dress, black heels and had all of her hair tied back in a sleek low bun.

The weather in New-York on that day was cold, gloomy, and utterly depressing. Aria walked into the church and politely greeted some of the mourners who were already there.

“I am very sorry for your loss” a woman who looked in her late sixties said as she took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. Aria listened to her quietly,

“Thank you for coming” she said before she walked down the eerily quiet church, thinking soon Adrian and Cengiz would be arriving with Angela’s coffin.
