"She is so average looking." He repeated, feeling the triumph of his stupid humor. It was just how everybody was cheering him that gave him the confidence to keep repeating demeaning things towards me. Out of everyone, Scarlet was the one enjoying it the most. It was like a stroke to her ego to think her boyfriend degraded after leaving her.
