Aurora pov

I stared at Asher with anger before returning to my notepad. Asher wasn't here to reconsider; he was only here to use me to get what he wanted.

"Aurora, please try to reason with me," he said, approaching me with his hand outstretched.

I wrote a message on my notepad, my pen moving swiftly across the paper. "Asher, I don't want to use force against you by using my guards, as I did the last time you came here. So, I would advise you to leave," I wrote, waving his hand away from me.

He read the message, raising his eyes with shock. He was thinking he would be able to convince me, but I was beyond that.

"Aurora, you can reject me a thousand times, but one thing is certain: those twins are my sons, and they have the right to know their father," he said, his voice raising with anger.

I wasn't moved by his words. All I could do was point at the door for him to leave, as I had had enough.

"Yes, that's what you can only do, as you are mute," he said, chuckling before turning to lea

But the feeling lingered, and I couldn't help but wonder if Asher had already found a way to infiltrate our security.I tossed and turned, my mind racing with thoughts of Asher and his plans. I knew that I had to be vigilant, that I had to stay one step ahead of him if I wanted to keep my twins safe.Just as I was starting to drift off to sleep, I heard a faint noise outside my room. I sat up in bed, my heart racing, and listened intently. The noise came again, this time louder, and I knew that someone was trying to get my attention.I threw off the covers and got out of bed, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of danger. I saw nothing out of the ordinary, but I knew that I had to be careful.I walked over to the door and pressed my ear against it, listening for any sound on the other side. Asher povIt was beginning to get tends as the guard quickly made a phone call, and then turned to me with a nod. "It's all set, Madam. We'll leave immediately."I took a deep breath, and nodded. I knew that I had to trust my guard, and that he was only trying to keep us safe.We quickly gathered our belongings, and then followed my guard out of the bus. We were led to a nearby vehicle, a sleek black SUV with tinted windows. My guard opened the door, and motioned for us to get in. I hesitated for a moment, but then nodded and helped my twins into the vehicle. As we drove away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Where were we going? And who was this person that my guard trusted?I looked over at my twins, who were sitting quietly in the backseat. They looked scared and confused, and I knew that I had to do everything in my power to keep them safe.I took a deep breath, and tried to calm my racing thoughts. Asher povMy PA quickly picked up my phone and looked away to avoid eye contact with Asher."What is wrong, ma?" she asked with a low whisper to my ears.I picked up my notepad, and as I walked away from the room, my PA followed right behind me, leaving Asher filled with confusion.I walked out of the office building, seeing my guard moving around with his phone on his ear. I walked straight to him with anger."Please, ma, calm down," he said, moving backward with fear. "I will try everything in my power to try to get them."Suddenly, something occurred to me, as the puzzle began to arrange itself in my brain. But could it be Asher? Because it was because of him we were trying to hide my twins away. The sudden meeting and trying to waste my time with him was just adding up now.I opened my notepad and wrote, "It's Asher. I am going to confront him now."As I turned to leave, my guard's voice stopped me. "Please, ma, don't make decisions you will regret. It could not be Asher. Please d

Aurora povThe silence filled the air, as the police officers murmur with each other."I think you should keep trying," one of the policemen said. "If you can't get them in the next twenty-four hours, we would consider it a kidnapping, but for now, I'm afraid we would have to release Mr. Asher for now.""You policemen don't know who I am," Asher said, his voice dripping with malice. "I would make your lives a living hell. You think you can come to my company to disgrace me? You don't know who you just messed with!" Asher exclaimed, as the handcuff was being released from his hand."We are very sorry, sir," another policeman said, bowing his head in shame.Asher's face was still twisted with anger as he rubbed his wrists, where the handcuffs had been. He glared at me, his eyes blazing with fury."This isn't over, Aurora," he snarled. "You'll pay for this humiliation."I stood my ground, my heart still racing with fear for my children's safety. Aurora pov I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the task at hand. We had to find my children. After what felt like hours of searching, my guard finally spoke up. "Madam, I think I found something," he said, his voice low and serious. I rushed over to where he was standing, my heart racing with anticipation. My guard held up a small piece of paper. "This was hidden under the couch cushion," he said. "It looks like a ransom note." I collected the paper and saw what was written on it, but it was just children's playing stuff. We looked at each other in disappointment, shaking our heads. "Don't worry, ma," my guard said, "I know I have disappointed you after you have given me all your trust, but I want to assure you that I will do everything within my power to bring back your children." I could see all the honesty in his eyes. At this point, I didn't know what to believe, as I had already put all my hope in him, but it was he who had put me in this mess. His phone suddenly

"You dare to threaten me?" he growled, his voice low and menacing. My guard stood his ground, unfazed by Asher's intimidating demeanor. "I'm not threatening you, Asher," he said calmly. "I'm just stating the facts. If you're involved in the kidnapping, you'll face the consequences."Asher's anger seemed to boil over, and he took a step closer to my guard. I tensed, worried that things might escalate further. But then, Asher's expression changed. He seemed to regain control of his emotions, and his face smoothed out into a calm mask."I understand your concerns," Asher said, his voice smooth and even. "But I assure you, I had nothing to do with the kidnapping. I'll do everything in my power to help you find the children."My guard eyed Asher skeptically, but I could sense a hint of uncertainty in his demeanor. Was Asher telling the truth, or was he just trying to manipulate us?I decided to keep a close eye on A

"You can't even pity my condition," Sofia said, struggling to sit due to her pregnancy. "You came into my house to accuse me. How dare you?""Luna Sofia, my boss knows of your condition," my guard said, following with a deep breath, "but your name happens to be part of the suspect list we have.""How dare you?" Sofia exclaimed. "Do you know who you are addressing? I am the Luna, and above all, I carry the heir to Asher's throne. I am not like you, Aurora," she said, rubbing her belly.I rolled my eyes, showing her I didn't care about her showing off."Aurora, you think after all these years of leaving, things would remain as you left them?" Asher povIt was raining. I was standing in front of the window, at the window, looking outside, as my heart shuddered to every boom of the rainstorms. I was standing with the twins. I was looking away from outside, at something, to looking at them, and their eyes were distorted in fear. They were afraid of the rain. I breathed as I moved towards them."Hello, children, don't fear. I am here with you," I whispered, stooping down to their level."We want our mummy," responded one of the twins, his voice shaking and pathetic."Don't fear, you will meet your mummy soon, and we will stay together," I said, trying to smile."We don't know you, sir. We want our mummy!" both of them shrieked at the same time."Shut up you two, okay? You're driving me crazy here," I shouted back, banging my head. But shouting didn't appear to be doing any good, for they persisted, but louder. Their din, combined with the anger of the thunderstorm, was tightening the whole atmosphere in the room.Suddenly, and

Aurora povAll my efforts to threaten Asher, to see if he was the one who kidnapped my twins, had been in vain. My patience was fading away, and I needed to find a way to get them back. With each passing day without my twins, my frustration grew.As I dwelled in my misery, my phone rang. I was surprised to hear the voice on the other end. "Hello, Aurora. It's been a while," he said, his voice loud and clear."Yes, it has," my guard replied, coughing after speaking. "Aurora, I heard what happened to you. I know it's been hard for you these past few days," the alpha said, his voice low and sympathetic."Thank you," my guard said, reading the words I wrote on my notepad. "I'm sorry I didn't inform you. I had a lot on my mind.""I understand," the alpha replied. "Who would blame you? I was paid a visit by Alpha Asher. He was the one who told me about the kidnapping of your twins. That was the main reason he came here.""Asher was in your city?" my guard asked, sounding surprised. "And he

Asher povI decided to close the paper, not wanting to know what was on it. I stormed out of the house, driving out as if I was like a thief. We went straight to where I hide my twins, and with every turn I made, I looked at my rearview mirror on my car to check if I was being followed. As I drove, my heart was racing with anticipation and fear. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched, and the thought of being followed sent a chill down my spine. I glanced at my rearview mirror again, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Still, I couldn't relax, my senses on high alert as I navigated the winding roads. Finally, I arrived at the safe house, a nondescript building nestled in a secluded area. I breathed a sigh of relief as I pulled into the driveway, feeling a sense of security wash over me.I turned off the engine and sat for a moment, collecting my thoughts. I had been hiding my twins here for days now, and it was starting to feel like a permanent solution. But I knew it

Asher povI spent the rest of the day with Sofia, trying to reassure her that everything would be okay. But the guilt was eating away at me, making it harder and harder to keep up the act.As the sun began to set, I knew I had to get out of there before I cracked under the pressure. I made an excuse about needing to check on some pack business, and Sofia nodded understandingly."I'll be fine," she said. "I'm just going to rest for a bit."I nodded and smiled, feeling like a traitor. As I left the guard's quarters, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was walking further and further down a path from which I might never return.I made my way back to my own quarters, my mind racing with thoughts of Sofia, the baby, and Aurora. I knew I had to come up with a plan to deal with Aurora once and for all, but I was running out of time.As I entered my quarters, I was greeted by the sound of my phone buzzing. I picked it up, hoping for a distraction from my thoughts. But my heart sank as I saw t

I couldn't let Aurora get to me, and I couldn't let Sofia's pregnancy complicate things further.I decided to focus on one thing at a time. First, I had to make sure Sofia was safe and healthy until she gave birth. Then, I could deal with Aurora and figure out what to do about the twins.I felt a sense of determination wash over me. Asher pov I waited for a few moments, my senses on high alert, but there was no further noise. I let out a slow breath and relaxed slightly, thinking that maybe I had just imagined it.But then, I heard it again. This time, it was louder and closer. It sounded like footsteps, crunching through the underbrush outside the cabin.I motioned to my pack members to get into position, and we all moved quietly to the windows and doors, ready to defend ourselves if necessary. The footsteps got closer and closer, and then, suddenly, a figure appeared at the window. It was a woman, and she looked frantic."Alpha Asher," she whispered urgently. "I need to talk to you."I recognized the woman as one of Aurora's office personnel, and my instincts told me to be cautious. But there was something in her eyes that made me trust her, at least for the moment.I nodded, and motioned for her to come inside. She slipped in quietly, and I could see that she was shaking with fear."What is it?" I asked her,

Asher povMy mother nodded, tears streaming down her face. "I understand, Asher. I'm so sorry for what I did. I promise to never interfere in your life again."I looked at her, searching for any sign of deception. But all I saw was genuine remorse."I want you to leave the pack, Mother," I said, my voice firm. "I want you to go somewhere and reflect on your actions. Maybe then you'll understand why what you did was so wrong."My mother nodded again, this time with a hint of sadness. "I'll go, Asher. I'll leave the pack and give you the space you need."I watched as she turned and walked away, feeling a mix of emotions. I was relieved that the truth was finally out, but I was also sad that my mother had sunk so low.As I stood there, holding my twins close, I knew that I had to move forward. I had to focus on rebuilding my relationship with my children and making sure they were safe and know me.I looked down at my twins, who were looking up at me with big, curious eyes. "Let's go home

"I know it was wrong, but I didn't know what else to do. Sofia is getting suspicious, and I knew it was only a matter of time before she found out about your children with Aurora."I shook my head, feeling a wave of disgust wash over me. "You should have trusted me to handle it, Mother. You should have trusted me to protect my own family."My mother's eyes filled with tears, and she fell to her knees. "I'm sorry, Asher. I'm so sorry. I was blinded by my own fears and doubts."I stood there, looking at my mother, feeling a mix of emotions: anger, disappointment, and sadness.
