Alone at Last

Rockledge's POV

After having a mind link with Peirce, I look at May and whisper, "We are going to get a little time to ourselves after Sophia and Peirce get some alone time."

The little giggle she lets out has me wondering if she has been waiting for me to ask. "We sure haven't had a lot of alone time since all this happened. I think that everything happened so fast that we really didn't get a lot of time to adjust."

I can tell by the look in her eyes that she is more than ready for us to bond just the two of us. I noticed that she really loved the whole group thing, but this is going to be different. This is going to be about us, and only us.

As I hold one of the babies, I think it's Bob, I smile. "We are going to have so many kids we could probaby repopulate the world all on our own."

May's giggle hits me again and I look into her eyes. "That maybe was the plan all along?"
