After speaking with me that day, the cops let me leave. They didn't charge me with Kinsey's death because there wasn't enough proof. After a few days, I gave up hunting for Sierra and probably lost hope of ever finding her again. Even though I felt it was too late, I only recently understood that Kinsey was correct—I shouldn't be wasting time on someone who has been silent for a long time. Sierra isn't dead, but that's exactly what she wants to happen in her name, so I will now give her what she wants.
It has been six days since I stopped opening my gadgets and updating my podcast and other social media accounts. In an attempt to unload all of the luggage I was carrying, I cleaned the entire house and polished every part of it to erase the dirt from everything I dragged here. I let Bryon blame me for what happened to Kinsey. I didn't sa
September 22, 2016 I waited almost two weeks before reporting Robert's illegal activities to the police because I didn't want Sierra to know who reported it if I did it the same day I went to their house. I didn't introduce myself to the cops; instead, I dialed their number from a payphone. I told the cops that Robert was using drugs and abusing the women who were with him at home, and then I gave them the address of Sierra's house. The cops went to Sierra's residence late at night so Robert wouldn't notice that the police already knew what he's up to. I also went there secretly and watched from a distance, right when the police arrived; Robert was hurting Jade, which confirmed my report, many drugs were confiscated in their house, people got upset outside and couldn't believe Robert could do that because they thought this man was decent and kind
People in our school were continually staring at her whenever we came in together; she was no longer looked at for her beauty, but for what had happened in her life. She was bullied even more, but I defended her once as a reason for them to stop. The professors felt sorry for her and became even more protective of her; they adored her for being intelligent, sweet, and kind, so they were on her side. They made sure that no one will hurt or bully Sierra in the school anymore, if someone is caught doing so will get severely punished by the principal. When she abruptly came to a stop halfway through her classroom door, I nearly tripped on my own feet. "What? Did you leave something in the car? I'll go back for it." I said. Her visage was once again expressionless. Before she spoke, she sighed, "I'd like you to stop picking me up and driving me home from school. I w
When it was time for lunch, I went straight to Sierra's classroom to give her a snack. She thanked me and didn't say anything else; she was with Maevis and a couple of her friends were also finishing their work in the classroom, so I felt quite secure because she was telling the truth and she wasn't alone with the weirdo Maevis. I then went straight to the cafeteria to eat because I hadn't eaten breakfast and my stomach was growling. As soon as I came inside, I was struck by the unusual presence of people. I even overheard them talking about Sierra yelling at me earlier, and when they noticed me, they immediately stopped talking and avoided looking at me. While others, such as Dionne, continued to mock me. Instead of leaving, I kept walking toward the counter, as if they were all invisible to me."Gosh, I couldn't believe Archer would lower himself to the level
I almost went to pick up Sierra from their classroom to take her home after class, but I realized she didn't want me to do that anymore. So I left the school without looking back at her room. I was about to get into my car when I stopped in my trance when I saw her walking home with Maevis. I wanted to stop her, but I didn't want her to become even more enraged with me, so I let her go with that crazy head."Hey, Archer, are you on your way home yet?" I flinched and took a quick glance at the person speaking next to me. It's Ever."Um, yeah." I offered him a tiny smile. He shrugged, and I could see in his eyes that he was attempting to say something, so I waited while watching the students run and stroll out of the school."Is it okay if I talk to you about something? Only if you have a second and if you're fine wit
September 27, 2016Sierra has been away from school for three days. Sierra arrived for Ever's birthday celebration but only stayed for a few minutes, primarily to give Ever my gift before leaving. I never phoned Sierra that day, so I had no idea she came, not because I don't care, but because I don't want to ruin her mood. I merely told her that if she wanted to attend Ever's party, that's fine with me, and made her bring my gift for him.I went to Sierra's house the day after Ever's birthday because she didn't go to school that day. I was about to ask her why she didn't go, but then I spotted her from a distance through the large glass windows of their shop, talking with a lady in her twenties. Based on the irritated expressions on their faces, they appeared to be in a misunderstanding. I believe she was speaking to Emmy, her cousin.
I parked my car near Sierra's house. I rushed out when I found Maevis sitting in a chair inside their bakeshop, chatting to Sierra, who was just standing in front of her, patiently listening to whatever she was saying. I ran closer and instantly drew Sierra's attention; her eyes widened slightly, prompting Maevis to look through the window; she was likewise taken aback when she saw me sprinting toward the bakeshop as if my life depended on reaching them. When I opened the door, Maevis immediately rose up, patted Sierra on the shoulder, and turned in my direction without looking at me. She was ready to go out the door when I moved to block her way, causing her to raise her head and throw me a death glare."Can you get out of my way?" Her voice was irritated, but I ignored her and turned to look at Sierra, who was still standing there embracing herself. Maevis mo
I tousled my hair and slumped back in my chair, defeated by my own love for her. "Can you tell me what you want to talk about?" I asked gently. She continued to cry as she stared at the table, her chin resting on her palm.I suddenly felt sad for her plight, so despite my annoyance, I stood up and went behind her. I pulled her hair behind her ear and knelt down beside her, holding her other hand in her lap. Sierra wiped her tears away and glanced at me."I'm sorry for treating you like a shit and—""Shh, stop saying that." I said as I kissed her hand. I despise it when she belittles herself, since she will always be that flawless girl in my eyes."There are just too many things going on in my thoughts that are confusing me." Sierra sniffed and wiped her tears away
September 27, 2016I'm currently having dinner with my entire family at the dining table. Bryon returned home to tell our parents that he had passed his exam, and this dinner is a sort of celebration for him as well. For the first time, dad applauded him even when he wasn't smiling, while mom was overjoyed. I congratulated him as well, but it was the first and only statement I said to him, and we didn't say anything else to each other after that. He also still didn't inform Dad about my relationship with Sierra, as if he had forgotten about it, which is pretty weird, but I'm still relieved that he didn't. He will also return to the city tomorrow morning. It's six o'clock at night, and I left Sierra's place right after class since I didn't want mom and dad to worry why I was late if I lingered too long in her place. But I promised Sierra I'd return late at night
