287. Being Materialistic

Stella returned to her senses. Overtaken by rage towards Tracy, she seemed to want to spill something.

When she realized it, she quickly caught her tongue.

Tracy wiped her tears, sobbing dramatically. “I know you are depressed, Stella, but I feel wronged that you think I could do that kind of thing.”

The glare did not cease from Stella's eyes. Knowing Tracy might have something to do with her miscarriage, and yet, she couldn't spill it here, she gritted her teeth inside.

So it wasn't Lucas's fault.

“Yes, I'm depressed,” Stella said past a forced smile. “Tracy, let's go back to Blake's quarters.”

Tracy looked hesitant. “M-Maybe some other time. My family are waiting inside the car, I have to-”

“Just follow me!” Stella snapped at her. She grabbed Tracy's arm and left the building with her.

Grandpa Winston squinted his eyes, watching their departing figures. “Blake, your wife should better not be up to something.”
