278. Taking Her Away

The Next Morning.

Despite the happy occasion, the gloom lingered at The Olsens Mansion.

Instead of using the grand hall, the wedding was held in the Mansion's backyard within the flower fields.

The bride, dressed in a plain white dress, her face devoid of any makeup, exchanged rings with the gloom.

Steve was all smiles, his eyes glinting with mischief. As he leaned in to kiss her, he whispered, “My unyielding patience has paid off. I never thought the beginning could be this surreal.”

Freya looked sideways, avoiding his kiss. “The beginning of what?” She whispered, her tone filled with uncertainty.

“The beginning of everything.” Steve held her chin, forcing her to stare at him. “Heidi, do you want them to suspect?”

She shook her head.

“Then quit acting like a fool. You know it's too late. No more room to avoid me.” He forcefully kissed her. “Because we're now married.”

Someone clapped, the sound not a very enthusiastic one.
