Was he gone for good? He wouldn't just pop out of nowhere the way he did yesterday, would he?

Heidi couldn't shove down the anxiety, dreading the possibility that Lucas Harrison was still lurking on the Island.

The inn he'd taken her to yesterday was part of the resort, not very far from the inn where she and Isla stayed.

So, naturally, they should bump into each other, at least in the evening when she, Steve, Isla, and Kate decided to camp by a fireplace.

Well, he didn't.

She should be relieved by the realization that he might already be gone.

“Ms. Olsen, please focus.” Isla nudged her, pulling her out of her thoughts, bringing her back to the present.

Heidi looked away from the window, shifting her attention to the man sitting across from them. “What did you want to discuss, Mr. Malcolm?”
