CHAPTER 34

King Tyson's Pov

Someone was speaking but the words were not audible enough for me to listen. The voice woke me up. I opened my eyes to see who was talking. I was still in a daze.

Kat was standing by the door and speaking with someone on the phone. She was so into the conversation that she didn't notice that I had woken up. I raised my body and sat on the bed.

I felt fine. The injury from the attack had sealed up. I watched Kat talk and giggle on the phone. I have never heard her laugh before. Who was she talking to?

"Ahem," I called her attention. She turned around almost immediately. She ended the call and walked up to me.

"Hey, you're finally awake."

"Yea, how long was I out for?" The day was still bright.

"Just one day. You have been unconscious since yesterday though you woke up a few times," She explained. She picked up a glass filled with water and brought it to me.

"Are you parched? Your voice sounds a little bit dry."

"Yes thank you," I answered. I took the glass of wine
