UNKNOWN POV

"We have to stop meeting here." The woman said. She walked over to the edge of the roof and peered down at the street below. The zoom of cars, the people who looked like ants from the view.

"It's a beautiful sunset." Her companion said. She turned to see him standing right on the edge of the roof, his eyes on the sky over head. She turned to glance at the sky and sighed.

"You didn't call me out here to admire sunsets, did you?"

"No." he replied. "I'm sure you've seen the recent developments?"

"I can now see it." The woman chuckled to herself. "It's all falling together piece by piece."

"See? " The man said, smiling broadly. "I never disappoint."

"We. You mean to say."

He rolled his eyes, correcting himself. "We never disappoint." He said.

The woman exhaled, breathing in the early evening air. "When would we need to reveal the final piece of the puzzle? " The woman asked.

"When the time is right." Was his response. "It will soon be revealed. When the time is right."

He said shifting his gaze to me. "And we have been ordered to use force if need be." Use force? My dad had ordered them to use force on me if I didn't oblige to the new rules?! My own father did this to me?"No." I said to myself more than to them. "No." I repeated retracing my steps. I looked back up at Joseph, but he had taken his eyes off me, regaining his blank faced stance. Turning around, I walked towards my car. At the car door, I fumbled with my car keys trying to unlock the car, my hand trembled. I could feel my heart racing, feeling the hard thuds in my chest. The key slipped from my hands.Fucks sake.I will picked it up, pressing the button hard. Without looking back at the company, I got in and I drove straight for home, ignoring how fast I was going. He turned and walked to his car.I bolted after him. Tears filled my eyes. There's no way this was real. My kids...he's taking them from me?!I grabbed his sleeve and held him back. "Daddy please. They are all I have. Please don't take them from me." "Let go of me." He snapped and pulled his hand from mine. He got into the car, behaving like I was a ghost. I banged in the window. "Please daddy! Please don't take them from me." The ignition started. "Please dad.... Please! I beg of you! Don't take them!" I banged harder, he didn't even turn to look at me.I glanced at Sabrina who sat beside him. Her eyes were misty as she looked at me, apologies swirling deep in her gaze. She moved her gaze to my father who sat beside her saying nothing and staring straight ahead. "Dad .."He raised his hand and silenced her.

Morgan's POV;The next morning, my head was clearer but my eyes and face were all puffed up. Winston took cold water to dab my eyes with."I could stay with you..." He began to say "You have work, Winston," I said to him. "I wouldn't want you leaving your work to take care of me. I appreciate it, but no. " He nodded. "Okay." He never pushed. Never. When he was out of work, I called my lawyer. I wanted my kids back and the only way I could fight my dad for them was to sue him for custody. He had no right to take my kids from me. He's not even their father. So I called my lawyer, telling him that I wanted to sue my father for custody. He laid out all that needed to be done, emailing the details to me. I wanted to pay him in advance, but I remembered that my bag and everything else was in my car. Including my phone. But somehow, my phone had been beside me when I had woken up. Through the open window, something shiny caught my eye. I turned to see my car parked outside. Winston must

  • She's back   haven't you done enough?

Dante's POV 'The number you’re trying to reach is…' I tossed my phone away from me on the table closing my eyes and rubbing them. Where did she go? Where was she? The last I had seen her was at the court hearing and three days after that, nothing. Her line had been saying the same thing over as over for the past three days. Alexander walked into my office just as I had decided what to do next. "You seem to be going off." He said as I picked up my coat and my car keys. "Push all my appointments an hour upward. I'll be stepping out for an hour." Before I could let him say anything, I walked out of the office to my car, heading for Rosewood Enterprise. By the time I got there it was a few minutes past lunch so I headed directly for his office. "Mr Fontaine." A voice I believed I had heard before called me. I turned to the owner to come face to face with Morgan's sister. The one her dad picked over her. The one he kicked Morgan out for. She didn't bother smiling at me, neithe

  • She's back   anonymous

Morgan's POVThey all said the same thing."You expect us to go against your father?" The automated voice on the other side of the phone said. Even though it sounded electronic, I could sense the disgruntled tone behind it."I thought you were anonymous. You work for me." "I can't give you hope on this one Miss. I'm sorry." And just like that, he ended the call. I began calling every other underground contact I had to get them to help me at least get back my kids. But none of them even spared me two minutes. "Are you that scared?" I asked one of them, who replied by hanging up on me.My phone rang, an unknown number which I immediately declined. It called again just as I was about to block it. When I busied it the second time, my phone chimed with a message."It's me Sabrina. Please pick up." What did she even want? Hadn't she gotten what she wanted? My phone rang again, I was about to decline the call when a fraction of me thought against it. What if she's as hopeless in all of t

Morgan's POV;My father. Right there. He was standing there and next thing, he was walking towards me and the guards holding me. One of them moved in front of me as Dante reached to take me away from them. But he just shoved the guards aside. "Hey." The guard grabbed Dante's collar, turning him. To which Dante responded with a kick to his stomach. The other one cursed at him before moving to hit him from behind. "Coward." Dante spat, throwing him over his shoulder right on top of the first one that had tried to cause a scene which had already been caused because most people in the school already had their phones out of videoing he whole thing. "Are you alright?" He asked walking towards me. But that wasn't my concern. I looked around, looking for the guard that held my kids only to find him rushing outside with them.I ran after him but he was faster, rushing them into a car while they trashed against him. "Mommy!" EIGHTEEN YEARS LATER. The chill in the air warned of approaching winter. The night sky was lifeless without a single star or the moon in sight. Silent, cold, like death. On the roof of a fifteen story building were two men, one younger and the other older. The younger man had his face hidden with a dark hood, but lifeless blue eyes peered out of the darkness. He had his arms folded, muscles bulging under his hood, his skin covered with scars, bullet holes, and tattoos. He had a handsome face, quite striking. But there was no emotion on that face. He watched the street below, the people who hurried about trying to get home before the storm came. The young man stood deathly still one would think he was a statue. "Do you understand your mission?" The older man asked in a gruff voice. He walked up to the younger man's side, making sure to keep a safe distance. "Yes." The younger man replied, coldly. "And please, don't bring in dead bodies. I need them alive, are we clear?" From a

Before his sister could reply, Dr. Shirley walked in, handing Winston a tablet. "It's still in position." She announced with a smile as Nova walked over to them. "What is that?" She asked."Well my dear sister," Winston said as he looked at the red flashing dot on the screen. "Four years ago, Morgan was Dr Shirley's patient. I had Dr Shirley plant a small tracking device in her."Nova gasped and faced him. She grinned impishly and wi

She had a sheet mask on her face and was eating a bowl of cut apples.I picked up three gowns and held them up. "Which one?"She bummed and stroked her chin. "Hmm, this is really hard.""Oh come on." "I'm serious Morgan. I can't say. ""Just try.""Okay..." She started. She narrowed her eyes and leaned closer. "The white one... Purity... Nice. The red one... Sexy... Good. Morgan's POVSIX MONTHS LATER:I lowered the music blasting through my car radio as I tried to parallel park. "Morgan?!" Sabrina's voice came through the speaker. "Guess what I just saw?" I asked Sabrina on the phone as I made to park my car."What?""Listen and don't interrupt.""Okay..." From her voice, I knew she was confused but nevertheless, she'd figure it out. I cleared my throat and began to recite the headline I had just seen. "CEO Sabrina Emily Rosewood, tops the chart as the youngest CEO of Rosewood enterprises to top first three in profits, assets and company growth in less than seven months.""What the hell?" She burst out laughing. "Seriously... You shouldn't sing my praises like that. It's creepy.""I'm creepy." I said with a chuckle. I took my phone and purse and walked out of my car. I headed up to the building in front of me. "Yeah. You are." She said fondly. "I gotta go. My dad needs my help with something.""Again..." She groaned. "I barely even see you these

  • She's back   unethical practices

Morgan's POVThe consistent ping ponging of the door bell shut me out of my haze of confusion and uncertainty. I stared at the screen of my television watching as the investigators were ceasing boxes an boxes of files from Winston's office as they announced that he had been arrested last night as an accomplice in my dad's murder. How was I supposed to take that? The man that I had lived with since I was disowned by my dad happened to have a hand in his murder. But I couldn't understand it at all. Nova killed my dad, while Winston was an accomplice. How and why? It didn't make sense. The ping-ponging continued, but it seemed too far away as I slipped back into the news. The news droned on saying the had been sent an anonymous tip and we're grateful to whoever it was."During the investigation," The anchor continued. "The police have discovered evidence of slush funds, unethical medical practices alongside malpractices and other law punishable offences that are yet to be discovered.

  • She's back   Winston and Sabrina

Sabrina's POVI ended the call, feeling disgusted with myself. I had just lied. A lie that would come back to bite me in the ass. I hadn't told Morgan anything. Infact, I had told her that I wasn't hiding anything from her while I was hiding tons. And Winston, I wasn't looking into him one bit. I already knew everything. I had known everything since the reading of daddy's will. And here I was, going to his house as the sun was setting. By the time I got there, it was night. I rang the doorbell, and was ushered in by a butler with a smiley face as if he had been waiting for me to show up. I was led to Winston's study where he stood by the window, sipping from a glass of wine. He didn't turn nor acknowledge my presence until he had finished his glass of wine. "Does Morgan know you're here?" He finally said. His voice sending chills down my spine. "It's isn't proper of you to visit your sister's boyfriend in the dead of the night. " He turned to me with the most lifeless eyes I had e

Dante's POVI rang her doorbell, shifting from one foot to another. Today, she wasn't going to push me away like before. I was going to make sure of that. The speed she used in opening the door told me that she was expecting someone. Was it Sabrina, or was it Winston? I prayed it wasn't Winston. The last thing I wanted was him him in Morgan's life. "Hey." She moved the door to shut it in my face when I blocked it with my leg. "I won't let you push me away today or ever again Morgan. ""I don't want to talk to you. I have nothing to say to you." We struggled against the door till I exhaled and poured it all out. "I know Morgan. I know. I've always know. " Her grasp loosened making me take advantage of the opportunity and opening the door "You know what?"I paused looking at her as she gasped for breath after our little struggle with the door. He said rubbing his hands together as I moved him to the sitting room and disappeared behind the doors of the kitchen, returning with a can of soda."Sit wherever you want." I said sitting down in front of him. "Right." He sat, staring around the house. "Explain yourself." I said."Explain what..?""You." I exhaled, adjusting myself and exhaling. He nodded, setting the can down in the table in front of us. "You must have a lot of questions." He said."I sure do. And you're taking a long time to answer them.""What do you want to know?""How about everything?"He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Everything. Okay. Let me start from the top. • She's back   Dad is gone

Sabrina's POVThe stillness around the house was deafening. Morgan hadn't taken anything I had said seriously, and I couldn't blame her. I knew important things about her and didn't tell her about it. I had hurt her and even if she pushes me away when I try to make things right, I wouldn't be surprised. I deserved it. Including what the future held if I was ever to come completely clean and tell her the rest. I couldn't imagine–didn't want to imagine. It would be best for the both of us it I were to tell her the entirety of the truth, but she was still in shock about all that had happened. I couldn't add to that. My eyes drifted to the door, recalling how she had banged the door as she left, and how my mother had spoken to her. How could she be so insensitive? Did she really care for only daddy's will? Did she really love him?Morgan didn't deserve this sort of wickedness. From my mum or any other person. She had lost way too much for no reason and the last thing she needed was s
