Morgan's POV

I had just finished my afternoon shower when I began to perceive something utterly delicious coming from the kitchen. My heart leaped into my stomach. Had someone come in while I was taking a bath? But if someone had come in, while would they cook?

Trying to silence my footsteps, I tip-toed towards the kitchen door, peeking though the home between the door and the wall. I stopped short when I saw who it was. It was then that I noticed his car parked outside. I couldn't remember the last time I get such excitement deep down in my stomach. Without restraint, I ran to him throwing myself in his arms.

He giggled carrying me up and spinning before planting a kiss on the tip of my nose. "You didn't tell me your be back."

"I didn't give a specific date remember?" He giggled kissing my cheek then planting a soft kiss on my lips. "I missed you." He said.

"Me too." I whispered as the heat rushed to my cheeks. Both from the fact that I missed him and the guilt that I had let Dant

Morgan's POV"How long are you going to stay in there?" Winston asked at my door. He had been there for the past ten minutes trying to get me to come out. But I just couldn't. The tears were biting me when I was talking with my father but now I was all alone, they were no where to be found. Not even a trace left, nothing. But I just couldn't bring myself to come out. "You know dinner's getting cold right. And you hate cold dinner." I chuckled at his attempt to get me to come out of my room but at least, it worked. Getting up from the floor, I walked to the door opening it. He stood outside with a tray of food."Since you couldn't come to dinner, I decided to bring dinner to you." "Thank you," I said with a soft smile. I moved to the side and let him come in. He walked in and set the tray on the nightstand. We both sat on the bed. "How did the conference go?" I asked as he served me a plate of rice, vegetables and chicken. "So so," He said. "These things are mostly boring. But th

Two women laid out on massage tables, talking to each other. "I'm tired of waiting." The woman pouted looking at her mother. "When do we get to make things right? When do we get to strike?" She asked jolting up from the massage table she was lying on. "Stay still already love. Why did you love to rush things? Patience." Her mum replied pulling her daughter back down onto the massage table. "Soon... Sooner than you think sweetheart. Everything is finally making sense." She smiled at the masseuse who seemed terrified as her hands gently wobbled."Are you uncomfortable?" The woman asked her mother's masseuse. The young lady shook her head forcing a smile. "There no need to lie. " The woman said relaxing and closing her eyes just as the two masseuse exchanged glances with each other before returning to their work. There was silence and peace,

Morgan's POVI woke up from a dreamless slumber. It took some time to readjust my sight to seeing in the dark. Blinking, I stumbled out of bed to the switch, turning it on. 9:45 p.m. Rubbing my eyes, I tried to remember what had led to me waking up before I remembered that I had passed out after dinner. Winston must have tucked me into bed. But what happened before I passed out? Trying to think deeper, I just couldn't get a hold of the events before I passed out. My bones seemed to creak with each step, making my muscles difficult to get into motion.I headed to the bathroom and ran a cold shower. It helped wake me up. I changed my clothes and once I was done freshening up, I realized how thirsty I was."Heavens, I need water." I muttered under my breath and headed to the kitchen. I drank my water and decided to look for Winston. I checked his room first but he wasn't there. Which meant he was in the study. Knocking twice, I walked in to see him asleep on his desk. Morgan's POV"What the fuck?!" Winston yelled, anger swirling in his eyes, but he didn't move away from me just like at the doctor's dinner party when that girl had caught us kissing on the rooftop. But Dante didn't even let him speak anymore. Before I could breath or even utter a word, Dante had pulled Winston away from me and began punching him in the face. "Shit Dante?!?" I yelled in panic, jumping down from the table. But that didn't stop him from punching Winston. Winston on the bed the hand just laid there watching Dante mercilessly hit him. God I came let things happen. "Get off him Dante! Stop this madness! Dante! ..."Shit shit shit! How much more would this man embarrass me?! I swore I heard a crack as his fist collided with Winston's jaw. Looking around trying to find something, anything that would get him off Winston. Looking around,I spotted a mop stick I hadn't seen tucked away in a corner. Picking it up, I smacked it into the back of Dante's head, masking him pause

Dante's POV"Get your hands away from her." I hissed at Winston, hitting his hands off. He exhaled with a scoff before fully facing me."What's your problem?" He spat in disgust and anger. I didn't care in the least bit. I am not scared of him neither was I ever. "Like hell you don't know." I spat back, coming to stand in between him and Morgan. "You would not lay a finger on her. Not while I'm here." He raised a brow at me, stepping back a little before smiling like a maniac. Just as the smile appeared, it disappears as he stepped forward, covering the steps that he had taken back. "You won't let me lay a finger on her..." He repeated cocking his head like a complete nut job. What the hell was this guy? "Why? You think I'm poison for her? Bad luck?" I walked up to him, our faces barely an inch away from each other. "Mmm. You're bad luck. You're poison for her.""Proof?" He asked with a cocky grin before his eyes widened as he shrugged, putting his hands in his pocket. "The only ba

Morgan's POV:"You're up." I looked to my right to find Sabrina seated there. She looked exhausted to say the least. "I guess so." I said. "Don't worry. The door's locked. None of them will disturb you."None of who? Uh, right. Winston and Dante. "Is Winston okay?" I asked. Sabrina tilted her head to the side looking at me from head to toe. When she didn't reply, I slowly shook my head, demanding an explanation. "Is anything wrong?..." But I had barely finished the sentence when the news came crashing in me like a boulder. The screech I heard in my ears that was my own voice screaming without realizing it. "Morgan..." In that voice, I could hear the struggle to keep it cool, to keep it together... To play the big sister. "Morgan?!" I but down on my trembling lip trying to swallow. Impossible with the sobs taking inside of me so I just let it all out, wailing my eyes out. The void was too hollow. So deep and empty that I could call out and hear my voice bounce off the walls of

Sabrina's POV "I don't trust him." Dante said once we were outside leaving. Just as if he had been reading my mind and was able to say what I was about to. I nodded at him. "Me too." I exhaled. "I don't trust him." He seems off but I knew Morgan couldn't see it–couldn't sense it. She saw him as the boat that sailed her from the turbulent sea to safety and I didn't want to take that from her. But what if Winston were to cause her more harm than the turbulent sea? "She'd sick." Dante said. "She looks sick like..." He exhaled. "Something is wrong with her. She's not okay. We need to do something." "Like what?" I met his gaze. "Why should we do? Morgan is not one to back off because of talks. We need evidence of these things we suspect. True evidence." My phone began to buzz. "Mum?" "Come home right now!" Her voice was fidgety, shaking to the core. "What's wrong?" I asked getting on my feet. "Immediately Rina. There's trouble." Hanging up, I turned to Dante. "There se

Morgan's POV:An hour later, I was calm enough to leave my room. Dante was still sticking around. He paced the floors of the hall and paused when we stepped out. "Where's Sabrina?" I asked.."She left. Something urgent came up." "Aren't you leaving?" I asked him noting that day was beginning to break. The only person I wanted to be around with was Winston and no one else. "If you have nothing else to do, leave.""I just want to know if you're alright.""I'm fine. As you can see." Came my reply. "Morgan,""She said she's fine. Why is it so hard for you to simply understand?" Winston snapped at him."I wasn't talking to you man." Dante replied. "In fine. You can leave now." "I'll be back." He said as he turned to leave. Once he was gone, I exhaled a breath of relief."Are you alright?" Winston held my arm and turned me to face him. "I should be asking you." I said to him touching his face where Dante has punched him . "I'm sorry for this.""It's fine. It can heal and go away. But

EIGHTEEN YEARS LATER. The chill in the air warned of approaching winter. The night sky was lifeless without a single star or the moon in sight. Silent, cold, like death. On the roof of a fifteen story building were two men, one younger and the other older. The younger man had his face hidden with a dark hood, but lifeless blue eyes peered out of the darkness. He had his arms folded, muscles bulging under his hood, his skin covered with scars, bullet holes, and tattoos. He had a handsome face, quite striking. But there was no emotion on that face. He watched the street below, the people who hurried about trying to get home before the storm came. The young man stood deathly still one would think he was a statue. "Do you understand your mission?" The older man asked in a gruff voice. He walked up to the younger man's side, making sure to keep a safe distance. "Yes." The younger man replied, coldly. "And please, don't bring in dead bodies. I need them alive, are we clear?" From a

Before his sister could reply, Dr. Shirley walked in, handing Winston a tablet. "It's still in position." She announced with a smile as Nova walked over to them. "What is that?" Morgan's POVSIX MONTHS LATER:I lowered the music blasting through my car radio as I tried to parallel park. "Morgan?!" Sabrina's voice came through the speaker. "Guess what I just saw?" I asked Sabrina on the phone as I made to park my car."What?""Listen and don't interrupt.""Okay..." From her voice, I knew she was confused but nevertheless, she'd figure it out. I cleared my throat and began to recite the headline I had just seen. "CEO Sabrina Emily Rosewood, tops the chart as the youngest CEO of Rosewood enterprises to top first three in profits, assets and company growth in less than seven months.""What the hell?" She burst out laughing. "Seriously... You shouldn't sing my praises like that. It's creepy.""I'm creepy." I said with a chuckle. I took my phone and purse and walked out of my car. • She's back   unethical practices

Morgan's POVThe consistent ping ponging of the door bell shut me out of my haze of confusion and uncertainty. I stared at the screen of my television watching as the investigators were ceasing boxes an boxes of files from Winston's office as they announced that he had been arrested last night as an accomplice in my dad's murder. How was I supposed to take that? The man that I had lived with since I was disowned by my dad happened to have a hand in his murder. But I couldn't understand it at all. Nova killed my dad, while Winston was an accomplice. How and why? It didn't make sense. The ping-ponging continued, but it seemed too far away as I slipped back into the news. The news droned on saying the had been sent an anonymous tip and we're grateful to whoever it was."During the investigation," The anchor continued. "The police have discovered evidence of slush funds, unethical medical practices alongside malpractices and other law punishable offences that are yet to be discovered.

  • She's back   Winston and Sabrina

Sabrina's POVI ended the call, feeling disgusted with myself. I had just lied. A lie that would come back to bite me in the ass. I hadn't told Morgan anything. Infact, I had told her that I wasn't hiding anything from her while I was hiding tons. And Winston, I wasn't looking into him one bit. I already knew everything. I had known everything since the reading of daddy's will. And here I was, going to his house as the sun was setting. By the time I got there, it was night. I rang the doorbell, and was ushered in by a butler with a smiley face as if he had been waiting for me to show up. I was led to Winston's study where he stood by the window, sipping from a glass of wine. He didn't turn nor acknowledge my presence until he had finished his glass of wine. "Does Morgan know you're here?" He finally said. His voice sending chills down my spine. "It's isn't proper of you to visit your sister's boyfriend in the dead of the night. " He turned to me with the most lifeless eyes I had e

"Hey." She moved the door to shut it in my face when I blocked it with my leg. "I won't let you push me away today or ever again Morgan. ""I don't want to talk to you. I have nothing to say to you." We struggled against the door till I exhaled and poured it all out. "I know Morgan. I know. I've always know. Sabrina's POVThe stillness around the house was deafening. Morgan hadn't taken anything I had said seriously, and I couldn't blame her. I knew important things about her and didn't tell her about it. I had hurt her and even if she pushes me away when I try to make things right, I wouldn't be surprised. I deserved it. Including what the future held if I was ever to come completely clean and tell her the rest. I couldn't imagine–didn't want to imagine. It would be best for the both of us it I were to tell her the entirety of the truth, but she was still in shock about all that had happened. I couldn't add to that. My eyes drifted to the door, recalling how she had banged the door as she left, and how my mother had spoken to her. How could she be so insensitive? Did she really care for only daddy's will? Did she really love him?Morgan didn't deserve this sort of wickedness. From my mum or any other person. She had lost way too much for no reason and the last thing she needed was s
