A lazy, sleepy yawn escaped my lips, as I longed to go back to a deep sleep hugging Veronica. At the thought of her, a happy smile spread across my face, which made me reach out and grope for the place beside me. Unfortunately, I found it cold and empty. Sighing once more, I opened my eyes, turned to lie on my stomach, and stuck my nose into her pillow, inhaling the smell of her expensive shampoo.
