After being dragged to her room, the servants pushed her in and left. Rita kneeled down and allowed the emotions she had been holding all this while to fall. She wept bitterly, cursing the day she met Liam and agreed to become his wife.

It was when she was in her final year in  the university that she had met Liam, back then he was the crush of all the ladies and Rita had secretly loved him without telling him. So when her marriage was arranged with Liam, her joy knew no bounds. She immediately agreed.

But now, she was the biggest fool to be done so. She could have rejected the marriage but her love for him blinded her and preventing her from seeing the kind of person he was.

Even after their marriage and on the night of the wedding, Liam did not even spend the night with her. He was totally disgusted by her, yet she kept deceiving herself that night he might come to love her as they spend more time together in marriage.

“He won’t rest till he torture me, and see me in pain.” She said miserably while still crying.

But now that she had been given a second chance, she would never allow him to succeed in torturing her and causing her more pains. So she had to find a possible way to make him divorce her and let her go. She would never make the same mistake in her past life of him killing her and pushing her down the stairs.

It was now night, at the Wilson villa. While light illuminated the whole place, Rita still lay on her bed crying. She was unable to sleep, and all she ever thought was how to divorce Liam and get away from him as soon as possible.

Her eyes were swollen and red as a result of crying for too long, yet she was not bothered about that.

The banging of her door made the realization to so she got up and walked to open the door.

Miss Chloe came in afterwards. “Are you okay madam. I was so worried about you.” She was saying.

Rita did not and we her and went back to the bed instead.

“Please say something madam, I am really worried about you. You look pale. Should I get you food to eat?” Miss Chloe said as she sat on the edge of the bed with her.

“I’m not hungry.” Rita managed to say.

“Please.” Miss Chloe was saying.”

“Please leave, I told you am not hungry.” Rita screamed, so Miss Chloe immediately walked away knowing the situation Rita was in.

Soon afterward, she fell asleep and had terrible nightmares of the night when she was pushed off the stairs by Liam. She woke up several times in the night rolling on the bed and could not sleep properly, finally she managed to sleep.

The next morning, Rita woke up earlier than the normal time she used to wake up. Still hunted by the nightmares she had, the door was pushed open and Liam walked in.

He saw the terrible state she was in, and also the tears in her eyes. He felt pity for her, but the thought that she was responsible for Joey’s death, made his heart bitter for her.

She wept and shivered from time to time, unaware that Liam had gotten into the room and was watching her closely. She was indeed suffering, but deep down he was determined not to let her go.

Was it solely on the fact that she was responsible for Joey’s death or that he now had a feelings for her, he was confused and did not know which to pick.

He  furrowed his brows, and he recalled the pathetic state he had met Joey after she got the accident.

“All this is her fault, she deserves no sympathy.” He  lamented as he gained apathy and bowed his head.

Then he coldly shouted her name, “Rita.”

Hearing his cold voice, Rita was broken out of her thought and stared at him behind her back.  He saw the way she stared at him with terror and shrank herself more to the bed.

“What are you busy doing here?” He asked.

She kept quiet and stared at nothing in particular. After a while and she did not reply him back, he said again.

“In five minutes, make your way to the living room.”

She stared at him and said, “why should I?”

“What do you mean why, are you not going to come down. Anyways grandpa is coming today.”  He said.

Hearing that grandpa was coming today, her mood lighten and her dull eyes brighten up.

Although Liam was normally with an unapproachable behavior and cold aura, his respect for his grandpa was known throughout this villa.

Therefore, Rita thought grandpa came at the right time. He was the only way for her to succeed in divorcing Liam, because he knew if she asked for grandpa’s help she might  be able to force Liam to divorce her.

She had once saved grandpa’s life , and back then in order to repay her kindness on saving his life, grandpa agreed to help her one day if she ever needed his favor and help, so she  thought this was the right time to do so.

She had never thought that she would one day ask for the favor from grandpa, but now what she wanted to divorce Liam and leave him, she must do so.

If grandpa ever succeeded in getting them divorced, she would leave this villa forever. Now, she silently prayed that she succeed.

Imagine starting her life anew after leaving him, she smiled.

With Liam still standing and looking at her , she got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to take her bath.

She stared at her self in the mirror  and saw how bad looking, thin and pale she was in.  After starring for a while, she turned back to Liam.

“You can go now, I’ll join you soon.” She told him.

Liam said nothing in return and walked away downstairs.

One minutes later.

She had taken her bath and came back to the room to do a simple makeup. Soon afterwards she went downstairs. She felt the pain from the injury she had in her left leg and walked slowly.

As soon as she got downstairs, there was no sight of grandpa, she found only Liam sitting down on the sofa.

There were uneasiness in her eyes.

“Hasn’t grandpa arrived yet? I thought you said he had arrived?” She threw.

No answer from Liam, she made her way to the other sofa to sit down but was forcefully dragged by Liam which made her ending up in his arm.

At once she inhaled his manly cologne which she was already used to, but because she already hated him, she also hated the smell of it.  She tried to free herself from him, but he kept on holding her forcefully.

“What are you doing, Liam. Let me go!” She struggled to remove his arms from her body but instead she was hugged by him.

“A quick reminder. I heard that no contribution has been made by your dad to the Brown family. Rumor says that he is in a bad situation.” He smiled and said to her.

She became alarmed with the mention of her father by him. What games was he trying to play now?

She glanced at him and saw him looking at her, the moment their eyes met she felt a cold shivers run through her whole body. Quickly, she took her face away from his.

Liam also looked away, while Rita was left nervous. She knew him too well, and now that he had mentioned her father and the terrible state he was in, surely there was a reason behind that. And now she wondered what it was.

Breaking the silence between them she asked, “What is it that you want Liam?”

He finally spoke up, “ If I eventually take the capital from the group of the brown, you know the situation your parents will be right. And now their fate is in your hands. If you want your parents to continue living a decent life, I will advise that you don’t utter anything to grandpa Jim. Otherwise….”

Afterward he smiled, which made Rita almost loosing her mind. She scratched her palms until she felt droplets or blood oozing out of it.

It seems Liam knew what she wanted to do and now using her parents as a scapegoat, she knew she had to give in to it.

Seems like she doesn't deserved the 2nd chance of life despite knowingly how her life would be/end, she still the same weak, timid & docile woman. What is the point of crying & begging when she already knew how cruel & heartless her husband was. In fact she DIED by his hands.
