Mom runs her fingers through my hairs, nuzzling my cheek with another hand. I had been feeling so low for the last few days. After that night, mom didn't talk to me properly which weakened me more. I wasn't expecting her to be here today. Nonetheless, I don't want her to leave anymore. I wanted to plead to Adavan. He can do whatever he wants with me. But I want my mom close to me.
"Are you okay, Ivanna?", mom asks.
"Yes, mom", I mutter into her lap.
"I don't know why I'm not feeling like you are okay. Is there something?", she urges to know.
"I was just.... You didn't attend my wedding. You were mad at me. I had broken Christian's trust. I lost my childhood friend. There were too many things. I'm unable to keep up with these", I lie to her. Although all the reasons were valid, the biggest reason is still hidden from her which I can't even reveal.
