Chapter Three

Aidan's POV

"MUTT" Someone yelled.

Fuck what did I do this time? I thought.

I slowly descend down the stairs, ready to dodge in case someone decided to hurl something at me.

"Where have you been? Why didn't you prepare food for your future Alpha? Logan asked glaring at me.

"I didn't know I'm supposed to prepare dinner today since I'm not the one doing it before" I said looking at the ground, I've learnt not to look up at them when they're talking to me, learnt that the hard way.

"So you were waiting for someone to tell you before cooking for us? He snarled stalking towards me.

"I'm..... I'm sorry" I stuttered.

" I know you are, but I need to teach you not to make such mistake again". He said and raised his fist to hit me.

"Just let him be Logan I know he won't let it happen again, or will you? Amelia asked staring at me.

"N..no..no I won't" I replied.

"Good you can go" she said and I hurriedly left for my room.

!phew! That was close

I sighed deeply, thankful for the future Alpha's intervention maybe her arrival can reduce my suffering .

I walked through the woods looking around like something was going to jump out of the shadows at me, as I walked I can't help but feel like something is following or rather watching my movements, I walked out of the covers of the trees and the open space allows the moonlight reflect off the river in front of me.

I walked to the river and bent down to wash my face. I scooped up the water into my hands and splash it into my face as I moved to scoop another handful I saw a reflection in the water but it wasn't mine it's the same pair of blue eyes staring at me.

I slowly turned around and whatever is there knocks me into the water.

I gasped and looked around wildly but calmed down when I realized I'm in my room

That Same mysterious creature again.

Why I kept on dreaming about it Is beyond me.

I went down to the kitchen to get breakfast ready, today is Saturday which means general Pack training but all I can do is watch as I am not allowed to participate.

"Hey buddy" I heard. Miles said behind me.

"Hey dude" I replied.

"So the future Alpha rescued you from Logan yesterday? He asked.

"Yeah ".

"Maybe you should talk to her, who knows you might make an Alpha friend". He said.

"Thanks for the advice but I'm not ready to die now". I replied.

"Anyway I'm off to training just decided to drop by and say hello" He said and left.

I sat at the bleachers watching as wolves spar in both human and Wolf form spotting errors here and there but I couldn't say anything cause no one can know I can fight.

After a while I got up and decided to take a walk, I walked into the woods kicking twigs as I walk after walking for about five minutes I heard a twig snap to my left and stopped, I looked around but didn't see anything I was about to continue when I smelled the repulsing smell of rogues.

A black big wolf came out of the brushes slowly making it's way towards me. I took slowly calculative steps back.

Seven more rogues came out and joined the black one.

Crap! I need to get help.

I slowly backs away as they advance on me, the black one lunged and that was my cue to run I ran as fast as I can towards the training grounds, the black wolf jumped at me , clawing at my back in the process, I groaned but didn't stop even as the blood flows down my back from my open wound.

Soon the edge of the woods came into view and I pushed myself to run faster , I Burst out of the woods into the training ground causing everyone to turn towards me.

"Rogues" Amelia growled.

I looked back to see the rogues at the edge of the woods, they turned and ran back the way we came as the Pack chases after them.

"Get yourself to the Pack's infirmary, make sure you get that covered up" Lucas said motioning to my bleeding back.

"Okay" I replied weakly as I got up and head to the infirmary.

Amelia's POV

I knocked on my father's office door and entered before he tells me to.

"Rogues crossed the borders"I said to him before sitting down.

"What? That hasn't happened in years, they know better than to cross our borders"he replied.

"We were all at training so they must have used that opportunity, as to what they are looking for I don't know, we wouldn't have known if the Omega didn't see them" I explained.

"Did you catch any? He asked.

"Yes we caught a male and a female, they're in the dungeons". I replied.

"I'll see them for questioning". He said.

"Okay dad, soon it'll be my duty". I said.

"Yeah just three weeks to your birthday" he said smiling.

"Yeah I'll be eighteen and ready to take over the Pack" I smiled.

"It's good to see you all grown" he said and I smiled as I walked out.

Aidan's POV

I lay on my stomach so as not to hurt my back and sighed, in five days I'll be eighteen and I'll be able to smell my mate, there's no wolf to tell me when I finds my mate but I'll still be able to sense them.

My mind drifted back to my encounter with the rogues, I was lucky to have escaped with my life.

Logan's POV

"Hey" I greeted Amelia as she walked out of her dad's office.

"What's up? She asked.

"Uhm.. just wondering if you'll like to go out you know" I shrugged.

"Nah I'll pass" she replied.

"Don't you think we should get to know each other? I asked her wondering why she was refusing me, this is the first time a girl will say no to a chance of going out with me.

"I know you, we practically grew up together before I left for my Alpha training". She said looking at me and I couldn't stop looking at her beautiful face.

"You remember? I asked Smiling.

"Of course I do, maybe we'll go out some other time but not today" she replied before going upstairs.

Aidan's POV

Someone knocked on my door and I quickly got up and rushed out to avoid them getting angry that I didn't answer fast enough but the person was standing too close to the door causing me to bump into them.

I quickly grabbed her hands before she could fall and pulled her back up.

"I'm sorry Alpha" I said but she didn't reply.

"Dad said dinner should be ready in two hours" She said and left.

She doesn't hit me like everyone else but she doesn't seem to wanna be friendly also, being so close to her makes me see just how beautiful she is, at least I now know why Logan dumped his girl for her.

Better go get dinner ready on time.
