Aanya's POV:
When you don't have anyone else you would want your close friends with you. That's what Ryan and Charlotte were giving me, their presence and comfort.
The whole of last week I was spent resting and getting back to myself in the hospital. I visited my dad and Chester twice that week. They don't know what happened to me and they will never know it. No one will know it except Ryan and Charlotte.
Now I was back to work trying to forget everything. My phone rang and I took it out to see it was Ashley.
"Hey Aanya, what's up?" she asked as soon as I took the call.
"Hmm.. let me see. I see a grey and white ceiling. What's up there for you?"
"A brain, duh..."
"When did you become a murderer?"
"I am not now but I may become one in the future. So you still working? How is everything over there?"
"Well, yes I am still working and everything over here is.... okay I guess."
"Are you busy?"
"Erm... actually yes. Can I call you after getting home or tomorrow?"
She said a quick yes and ended the call. Ashley is 24 years old and I am 23 years old and going to be 24 in one month. I and Ashley have been best friends since high school. She has always been the best. Ashley is a lawyer now and has her own firm. She has a boyfriend, Praise, who is the finance manager of Phantom Techs. They have been together since high school and before I even meet Ashley. Ashley is beautiful with black eyes and black hair.
After the phone call, it was time to close the café, so I winded up everything and closed the shop and went home.
I cleaned the house, cooked dinner, watched Vampire diaries, and was lounging on the sofa while my phone got pinged indicating I got a message or an e-mail. It was an e-mail and I opened it. To say I was shocked would be an understatement, I was flabbergasted.
Dear Aanya,
Our company is pleased to inform you that we have re-decided our decision on giving the CEO's personal assistant position to you.
If you choose to accept, you will be taking on the lead of helping the CEO with the duties you are given personally. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer, Mason Alexander. You are requested to be at the office on August 2nd 1999 after 10 am.
The starting salary will be £75,000, paid on a monthly basis. Plus, our company offers full medical coverage and flexible paid time off.
To accept this offer, please sign the attached document and return it to us when we meet. Hope to see you at the requested time and date.

Evan wore a three-piece grey suit, concentrating on the road with one hand on the starting wheel and the other one holding on to his wife. He decided that he was going to tell her everything tonight after the wedding and reception.
