CHAPTER 4

Aanya's POV:

"Hi, sir, What can I get you all today?" I was shocked when I looked up, it was the same icy blue eyes I saw earlier today but I quickly recovered.

"I will have the medium Cappuccino and Croissant. Thanks." I tunred my head to the direction of the voice and I instantly recognized him from yesterday, he interviewed me. I noted down waht he wanted.

"I took care of everything. Don't worry." Ryan told me after taking the orders from the other table, while he was walked past me. I nodded my head at him. Thanking him sillently for saving me. 

"I will have a Latte please." turning my attention back who is in front of me, the guy on the left said. I noted the order down and looked up again for the last person to speak but ice monster still hasn't said anything so I thought he didn't want anything so I said "I will have it brought over in a few minutes" and left.

But before I could leave, "Did I ask you to leave?". I turned around making sure to mask my emotion and said "Is there anything you would like, sir?".

"Apologies." he said in his deep voice which should make me fall to my knees cause of the authority the word held but I kept myself up "I think I already did."

I knew I was talking to Evan Rodriguez and I should be careful of what I am saying as anything can happen to me but I taught myself otherwise "I won't say it again. Apologize!".

"Yesterday, was a genuine mistake. Today morning, I bumped into you and I apologized that instant itself. So, I don't think- " I was cut off by my phone ringing. I quickly took it and it was my brother, Chester, calling me. I picked up the call ignoring the daggers the ice monster is throwing at me.

"Hey, Chester. What happened?"

"Dad went into a shock" the words came out so rushed and qucik, I dropped whatever was in my hands and, without looking back, ran to the staff room to take my bag and put the apron away. After I took it out I ran out of the café and went headed straight to the café.

---In the hospital---

"You need to do it as soon as possible. He is losing his time." The doctor said before leaving. I just stood there not knowing what to do. Father's health was deteriorating qucik and I don't have enough money to pay his deposit. Chester slowly made his way to where i was standing. 

"Hey sis. Don't worry. He is going to be fine." Chester said and I nodded. I just couldn't speak to anyone right now.

After a few minutes of silence, he said "I heard about Maria" I knew what he meant by this but I decided to play along

After a pause and deep breathe, I asked "What do you mean?"

"I heard how she got into university way early and how she is the youngest female billionaire in the world."

"and?"

"What I am trying say is, let's ask her for money. I mean she is our sister and our father's daughter. So she should also be here with him and she can help financially too."

"Me or you, we are doing no such thing. You will not talk about this in front of dad, for that matter. End of discussion." I got up and left without waiting for him to respond. I walked back home as it is already night and I am pretty sure Ryan closed the café.

I walked and walked without wanting to go home. Thinking and walking at the same time seems dangerous as I don't know where I am. It's dark and very closed, literally. For the first time after starting from the hospital, I looked up and surveyed my surrounding. I was somewhere dead and cold with stars as my only I companion.

I turned around to walk the way I came but I stumbled back a bit, realising there was someone behind me

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

Well, three encounters on the same day with the person no one wants to encounter isn't the best luck.
