Chapter 51 — Gone

"You have five minutes. The officer growled, opening the gate of Alma's cell, and immediately the young woman threw herself into Edan's arms, trembling, disturbed, crying.

"Edan, what did they say?" It's very serious, isn't it? Alma looked up, her eyes watering.

"I'm afraid so. Edan muttered in response, pressing her to his chest.

"What am I going to do, Edan?" What about my family? Now what will become of them? She muttered, rubbing her face on his chest.

Edan was silent for a second, thoughtful, with everything Alma was going through, she was not thinking about her future, but about what would become of her family.

He took a deep breath, Diego must have been wrong with his deductions, Alma might not be able to do everything he thought.

"Don't worry about them, they'll be fine, I'll make sure they do, I promise." Edan whispered, stroking her hair.

“Thank you. Alma murmured, squeezing him.

"I'll get you out of here, you'll see..."
