Chapter 14

Zoe could feel the barrier before they even stepped through it - an invisible forcefield that seemed to hum with ancient power.

As soon as they crossed the threshold, the world seemed to shift. The dense forest surrounding the pack’s territory gave way to something entirely different.

Before them stood a magnificent castle, nestled in the middle of a sprawling, charming town that looked as though it had been plucked straight from a fairytale. The castle’s towering spires reached into the sky, their pointed tips shimmering in the fading daylight. The stone walls were worn but strong, draped with ivy that twisted up toward the battlements. Lanterns lined the cobblestone pathways, already flickering with soft golden light as evening set in.

Dominic let out a low whistle. “Damn. It’s like something out of a movie.”
