Chapter 6

Easton Lemire:-

I was pacing in the room here and there running my fingers in my hair worried for my mate. I knew from the start that she isn't simple that's why I asked that bastard to hand me over his daughter to me because he won't be able to handle her after she reaches the age of eighteen. I was keeping an eye on Minerva for the past good year.

The day she was brought here wasn't the first time I saw her. I saw her way before and my mind screamed mate. I begin to follow her everywhere and did some digging about her. Whenever I was close to her I felt a strong power in her so I asked one of my witch friends to help me figure it out. She took almost three months to find out about Minerva and told me my mate may look like a normal human being but she is far from it. She has got strange powers in her that will be revealed when she is eighteen but dammit. She is not eighteen yet.

"This is not gonna happen anytime soon," I murmured with pure stress visible on my face. She is still 17 and she is in danger. Her powers are activating too soon. I have to keep an eye on her." I looked at Felicity who was holding Minerva's hand to check her pulse " Felicity, you can't be my mistress anymore but you can be Minerva's personal bodyguard. You will keep her safe for me, okay?" 

 "Okay, your highness. I understand." Felicity replied with respect in her voice " Your highness. She is not ordinary."

" Yes, she is not but we can't let her know anything about it. Or anyone else. You got that because if anyone comes to know about it you will be the first one to die with my hands. You understand?" I asked in a dangerously stern tone.

" Yes," Felicity replied.

I looked at Minerva again and begin to worry ten times more for her. I was thinking of how to keep her powers suppressed for the time being so, that her life remains out of danger. I will ask every staff member and every person from my kingdom not to make his mate angry or do anything that can make her lose control. Her anger is the key to her powers. I gathered that much because her powers activated when she got out of control in her anger and that is my fault but I didn't know the result will lead to this.

I saw Minerva wake up on my bed holding the back of her head and let out a groan. I can read minds so I got inside of her mind. She was trying her very best to remember what happened to her after I made her angry and how her hands started to blow out fire in the shape of a fireball and then she remembered passing out on the floor." 

"What is going on with me? I feel strange and yet powerful somehow. What is happening to me?" Minerva asked with a frown on her face.

"Nothing is going on with you. You are totally fine, my love." I replied to Minerva politely making her groan and roll her beautiful eyes.

"You are lying Easton tell me the truth what is this all about. I can sense you lying. You are transparent to me and I know you know so many things more than I know about myself so for fuck's sake tell me the truth." Minerva shouted to me.

"I remember seeing something. I felt like or more like saw my hands were burning with fire and I felt totally hot and overwhelmed by fire from my head to toe. I cannot exactly remember what happened to me but I did know that something is going on with me." Minerva grunted.

"You are totally fine. Nothing is wrong with you. You are just hallucinating that's all, mi Reina" I lied to her making her angrier than before.

"I don't believe anything you said even I don't know that if you are telling the truth or not," Minerva snapped at me furiously.

"If you don't believe me then you can ask Felicity.She was there when all this happened. "Felicity, please tell Minerva that there is nothing to worry about she is all good. Nothing is wrong with her." I looked at Felicity who understood what I am trying to do and played along.

"Yes! I was with you, Minerva.  If you remember we came back from shopping and then you got fainted due to the stress you took when Easton told you that you are more indebted to him from earlier when you burnt out the cash. The other things you are seeing or feeling were not real. That is your mind is playing games on you." Felicity tried to explain to Minerva.

"But all of it felt real. Like it happened in real with me because I can feel my body temperature warmer than before. I don't know what to believe right now. I am just fucking confused." Minerva shouted.

"This is all because of you jerk." Minerva yelled at me "I was living my life peacefully but because my asshole of a father had to pay the debt of yours. And, to pay his fucking debts he sacrificed his own daughter and since then my life becomes a living hell. Nothing feels normal anymore" Minerva said angrily and left the room stomping her feet angrily.

"We have to distract her so she can't focus on this scenario anymore. If she found the truth any other way she will be in danger and I can't let that happen to my mate." I said to Felicity.

" I know but what are we gonna do at this stage? She is not listening to anyone she is confused and doesn't know what to do. We should think of something to distract her" Felicity said looking at the door from where Minerva walked out.

"I know how to distract her at this moment. I am going take out Minerva on a date with me so that she stops thinking about all this." I inform when Felicity gave me a look " What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

" She is not eighteen yet and if you take her out with you on a date people will think so you going out with her is out of the option now. Think of something else." she replied, " She is still underage which you are definitely not."

" What do you suggest?" I ask with a raised brow and saw her grin with an idea.

"Leave it up to me, your highness. Right now you need to go after her. We don't want her to lose control now. Do we?" Felicity asked " Trust me. I will make everything magical for you and her."

" Why are you being so nice to me after I asked to that you are not going to be my mistress anymore? Don't you have got a little bit feelings for me?" I ask confused.

" Not a single bit your highness because I am waiting for my mate to show up but you have found yours but have to wait a few more days to claim her as yours. She will be the Queen of the Vampires." Felicity replied.

" She will be more than that, Felicity. She is powerful than us." I tell her and let out a heavy breathe " Need to find a right person to give me knowledge about her hidden powers."
