Chapter 36 - Behind closed doors

"Look who is here…finally!" Vegas called out to the new face as he walked in through the entrance. Vito thought it would be best to have both Vegas and Tony here for when Laurene was ready to explain everything. It was only right they were included not just because they were his right-hand men, they also needed to know why their friend was killed.

"Hey, V," Laurene said excitedly as she was pulled into a bone-crushing hug by Vegas.

I guess they were also close.

"Tony," Laurene said next with an unimpressed look as she just stared at Tony.

"Laurie," Tony replied with the same energy as they just stood staring at each other.

I could sense some kind of tension between the two of them and just concluded they probably didn't like themselves much. And besides I think he just called her name in short form, you can't just do that except you actually have history.
