Chapter 3 Drunken Mistakes

 "Where is Turner?" I asked not finding him in the living room,

"Aiden took him to his place", Ed muttered under his breath as he bounced on the couch, taking the remote and switching the tv off,

I took a seat beside him and opened a can of beer, "what do you think happened yesterday?"

"That's what I would like to know," he said messaging his forehead,

"where were you last night?"

"I slept at my sister's place,"

"Nancy? she's in town?" 

"Yeah, only for a couple of days,"

I can't believe Nancy is in town, it's been so long since we've met each other. After Ed, she is my second best friend so her being in the town made me really happy, I want to meet her after we sort this mess out.

We still have no clue about last night, what actually happened? and whether or not Kelly is involved, we have no fucking idea. 

Hell, I don't think I can take another minute of this mystery, it will take some time for Turner to sober up so that leaves us with those two. They surely would have some answers. 

We both waited on the couch for them before hearing footsteps, Ed got up from his seat and stood beside me "Try not hitting them",

I rolled my eyes knowing the obvious, of course, I can't hit them before finding out the whole truth. ;] 

Lexi came and stood beside me, resting her head on my left shoulder "They are so exhausting. Oh my god. I want to scratch my ear off until I unhear the things they said." she yawned covering her face.

"Where are they?"

Lexi pulled some facial muscles telling us they are coming before gaining her posture and standing straight,

SHITTT, another shock, dude what the hell is wrong with this day???

My eyes popped open, not believing the person standing in front of us. What the fuck is she doing here? 

"Why the hell is your ex here?" I asked hitting him, knowing the events have turned worse. Don't tell me Turner had sex with Ed's ex and that too with her of all his exes.

"Eddy" she screams and quickly ran over to him, hugging him tightly,

He gave me a "What is happening?" look and quickly untangled himself from her, "Aww baby I missed you" she said holding his face and sweetly caressing it with her thumb.  

"I should've warned, she's here." Lexi groaned beside me, "Where's the bucket? I wanna puke,"

"I'll join you" I whispered and shook our hands,

We were trying so hard to smile at her but it was all useless, just seeing her face makes our blood boil in anger. 

When they were going out, she emotionally blackmailed Ed into giving her all his social media passwords, and from there she would unfriend all of his female friends with a mean text that included all of Ed's school friends, and one time she got jealous of his cousin saying that he was cheating with her.

I and Lexi had to convince him to break up with her because he was miserable. She was toxic and he knew that too. So like any smooth break ups, it ended very smoothly if you exclude burnt pillows, broken plates, covering his phone with Cheeto fingers, and eating a banana with Nutella on his bed. 

Anyways back to the present,

After what looked like an eternity to Ed, she finally removed herself from him and noticed me and Lexi. She slowly eyed us from head to toe like we are covered in dirt or something and pulled a smile in disgust "I see you still hang out with them," 

"You gotta problem with that" Lexi fired up and unintentionally stole my line. 

Ed and I were just looking at them for god know's how long begging for someone to come and break the ice before we saw the brunette leaning against the wall. 

"Thank god" he yelped before going over to her and helping her with the steps,

She slowly walked towards us and sat on the couch making herself comfortable. Mia joined her as well leaving us three standing and dealing with the aftermath.

I cleared my throat and ask them about last night. 

"So, ugh we kinda need some answers about last night you know," 

They both looked at each other, having some secret conversations with their eyes before agreeing to tell us everything. 

"Okay so let's start with your name first" 

"Oh no,  I'm so sorry Veronica, I didn't know you were getting old this early" Mia rolls her eyes,

"excuse me" I furrowed my eyebrows. What did she just say?

"Yeah, otherwise you would remember me,"

One second.

Two seconds.

Nobody said a word. I was staring at Mia who by the way had a bitchy smile plastered over her face that screamed to me, 

I closed my eyes and clutched my hands tightly taking notes to not kill her before finding the whole truth. Aiden and Lexi whispered a few soothing words to calm me down.

Even though it's been three years still the need to hit her face with a bird poop was resting inside me. 

I took a deep breath and opened my eyes, I fake a smile and looked at her "I'm sorry was I meant to be offended?" I cross my arm and bend down to her level "Cause the only thing offending me is your face" I pout,

"Veronica" Lexi stops me by my arm and Ed quickly took Mia to the kitchen before things get out of hand.

I turned around and sat at the coffee table, giving my full attention to this other girl, now that Mia is not here, I can finally ask some questions. "Sorry about that, we a..."

"Shay, my name is Shay" she interrupts, I gave a nod and let her continue,

"I'm Kelly's friend" 

Of course, you are, I gave a look to Lexi telling her to call Ed from the kitchen so we can quickly deal with this thing.

She walks over to the counter and calls him out. A few, seconds later, he comes out with a bowl of nachos and takes a seat with Lexi.

"So, it was Kelly who set you guys up, right?" I continued 

"Yes," 

"Can you tell us what happened?" 

She took some time to remember then continues filling us in about last night, "It was 7 in the evening, I think when I heard my phone ring, at first I thought it was Mia, but it was Kelly"

I wanted to ask her, how she knows Mia but I let her finish, hoping we'll eventually know by the end of the story, 

"She suddenly called me and asked if I wanted to go on a blind date and I said yes but then she mentioned how he behaves and feels around women. She asked me to help him deal with his anxiety"

"Why did she ask you to cure his anxiety?" Lexi questioned 

"I am a therapist actually"

"Ohh" we nodded in understanding,

"I give physical therapies and sometimes sexual"

"Sexual in the sense," Ed leans a little forward and asks her impatiently, 

"S*x" Mia replies from the counter, 

"It's all professional so don't think anything weird" she clears herself after noticing all the weird expressions on our faces. 

I mean she really can't blame us, nobody thought a day like this will actually come where we have to discuss our friend's sexual life in groups.

This is my second day in New York and it's already overwhelming. It was supposed to be a fun night where I can talk about my Milan cover shoot but no, we all are stuck here dealing with this stupid thing.

"Anyways, uhmm what happened next?" I asked, 

"Well, Turner was a little anxious when he met me so I offered him some drinks to ease his nerves but he ended up being drunk. I didn't know he was a light drinker otherwise I wouldn't have offered him in the first place" 

"Yeah Turner is a light drinker even a dew makes him drunk" Ed spoke

"Dew?" Shay asks

"Mountain Dew" Lexi replies

She nods "anyways, he was really drunk so I decided to call Kelly to pick him up but she didn't answer. In the end, I had to carry him."

"When we reach the apartment, he was a little sober yet still drunk. I tried laying him on the couch but he wasn't in the mood to rest. So, we talked the entire night about his pasts and his anxiety before he started kissing me"

"Turner kissed you first? " Ed asks almost choking,

"He was drunk dammit," I slightly hit his arm trying to put some sense out of this thing.

"Yeah, I know he was drunk but, I'd be lying if I said no about not wanting him, Turner is a fine man you know, he's really handsome with a good built so it wouldn't harm me to feel his...."

"ahhhh" I screamed not believing any of the words she said just now.

"We don't wanna know about that," Lexi breathed stopping her midway 

"Sorry, it's been a year since I got laid so seeing him just made me a little-"

"A little?" I questioned. This conversation is taking a weird turn, we quickly need to find out how Mia ended up in his bed, or else she might give us a detailed report about their sex.

"Ju juss...just wrap it up quickly," Ed said in disgust.

She gave an uncomfortable smile and continued "Um we were having a good time you know s*x-wise, I was about to cum when he uhh.. fell asleep" She paused,

"he fell asleep??" I questioned, my eyes ready to gape out

"Oh god, Turner" Lexi exhaled tirelessly,

We all took a deep breath and relaxed. Forget Turner, it was us who were freaking out after every 10 minutes. Turner really left us in deep shit to deal with his mess. I don't even want to hear the ending now, but we need a full story for Aiden. Oh god Aiden, I wonder how he will react.

"What happened next?" I asked giving up, ready to hear another shock that will probably come.

"Well, I uh, you know near the end" she blinked a couple of times trying her best to complete the last sentence, "with Turner asleep I needed someone to uhh" she stopped.

"That's where I came" Mia speaks proudly taking a seat beside her.

"you know I don't think we need to hear the rest"

"Yeah, Yeah" Ed and Lexi rhymed wanting to stop the story as well. We know enough, just can't deal with the details anymore. 

"Btw Mia is my roommate" Shay concludes her story that literally had us all bouncing up and down.

Never thought a day like this would come but I'm glad it's over. Mia and Shay stayed till lunch then went their own ways. 

As soon as the door closes we fall on the couch and release a breath "What in the god's hell happened just now?" Lexi yawns 

"Let's not talk for a while" I reply and got up from the couch to grab a Breezer from the fridge when I heard my cell ring. I went over to the counter and picked up the call.

"Hello"

"Am I speaking to Miss Veronica Matthews?" an unknown voice from the other end asks me,

"Yes, this is she, how may I help you?" 

"Miss Matthews, I am Doctor Calvin from Ivy Hospital, we want to inform you regarding your friend Miss Kelly Anderson who was in an accident and is currently getting treatment at the hospital,"

"What?"
