"He's my detective. I hired him for Ariella's case. I just need some answers, or else I'm going crazy. You know why I married you, and you get what you want from me. We're even, and there's nothing to lose anymore. I have to risk everything for my twin sister because no one… no one cares for her but me." I said, my voice trembling as I thought about Ariella.

Jaxon sighed, "Well, if you think that the person who killed her is in my organization, you're free to investigate. But... you have to give me whatever I want, whenever I want it."

I sighed nervously, staring at him. Before I could say anything, he leaned in and lifted my chin with his finger, then kissed my lips. He planted a sweet kiss and then put on his seatbelt.

"We will have lunch today with the Morreti family. They want to meet you."

I nodded, "So, we're heading there now?"

"Yeah, it's still 12. Lunch is at 2 PM. And when we arrive, we have an hour to do something." He said, a glint in his eye.
