Chapter 6 - Malcolm

I felt bad when I invited Pam to the party and even eagerly extended the invitation to her roommate, Hana. It’s not that I didn’t want Pam to come. Take that as dirty as you want. It felt underhanded to ensure she would bring Hana so Aidan could attempt to fix whatever went wrong that night at the club and every time he’d seen her since.

He hadn’t explained anything to me. I only knew Hana had been dodging him for weeks. I admit that’s truly impressive. In all the years I’ve known Aidan, I’ve never seen a woman go out of her way to avoid him. Typically, they throw themselves at him. Now, this college freshman is giving him the runaround. Either she’s not interested, or he should consider that she likes girls. Or this girl is a mastermind, and it’s to make him chase her and work for it.

Even if I didn’t understand the fascination beyond that, she didn’t just give in to him; I still sent him a stealth text when she arrived at the party. That’s another thing that had my gears turning.
