This is my wife

The silence between Astrid and Andrew was toxic, heavy with unspoken emotions. Astrid longed for Andrew to break the silence, to share his thoughts or feelings. Meanwhile, Andrew wondered how to express his own emotions, how to ask Astrid about her well-being, her feelings about the baby, and her thoughts on becoming a mother for the first time.

As Andrew stole a glance at Astrid, he pondered whether she had pregnancy cravings. He had many questions but struggled to find the right words.

The silence became unbearable, and Andrew decided to leave, citing work at the office the next day and a meeting with John about parking.

"I have work to do at the company over to assist you with the packing" he said as he stood up

Astrid sighed, exhausted from constantly moving from place to place, feeling like a refugee. 'Where will I go now?' she wondered.

Andrew calmly dropped a bombshell: 'You're moving in with me.' Astrid's eyes widened, and she dropped her cutlery in shock.

'What did you just say?' she asked rhetorically. "Do you want to kill me? Why suggest that? Mrs Thompson and Mira will strangle me when they find out I'm pregnant and living with you. Have you thought this through?"

Andrew reassured her, 'My mother isn't like that.' But Astrid countered sternly, 'That's from your perspective.'

Andrew explained, 'This hotel isn't safe for you. You need to be under my supervision.' Astrid misinterpreted his concern, laughing sarcastically, 'Am I your worker or employee that I need to be under your supervision?'

Andrew clarified, 'I want to ensure both you and the baby are safe.' Astrid shot back, 'Where do you suggest I stay, then?'

"You think this hotel is unsafe without your men?"

Astrid felt insulted when Andrew walked away without a word. She needed time to think, to clear her foggy mind. She ran her fingers through her hair feeling worked up.

She decided to take a run to the hotel's gym, hoping to devise a plan to deal with Andrew's overbearing nature and the hostility from Mrs Thompson and Mira."

While jogging, Astrid felt more relaxed, but a strange feeling crept over her - someone was following her. She quickened her pace, scared and far from the hotel. Exhaustion threatened to overwhelm her, so she sought a safer place to hide.

Suddenly, a black Jeep pulled over, blocking her path. In an instant, she was abducted.

"What did I do?" Astrid questioned, but her captors remained silent.

A sharp prick pierced her arm, and everything blurred.

"That's much better "the man said as he dropped the syringe

When Astrid woke up, Andrew's face was the first thing she saw.

"Where am I?" she asked, her head pounding.

Andrew's calm demeanor enraged her. "What did you do to me?" Astrid demanded.

"You're pregnant; you shouldn't stress yourself," Andrew replied.

Astrid's anger boiled over. " What?! I went for a run is that stress, Did you abduct me because I exercised? I believe that even if I'm pregnant I'm entitled to some exercise" she said as she stood up.

"Like you said 'some'" Andrew replied as he stood up and Astrid felt like she should run crazy,this man is scared that if she takes a step, she'll lose their baby.

"You have a lot to learn regarding pregnancy "

"Let's go " Andrew said as he walked to the door.

"To where?" Astrid asked.

"My house " Andrew replied calmly.

Astrid's eyes widened. "You haven't given me a day to think about it. How dare you!"

"I've packed your things already,I didn't want to make you uncomfortable,so I decided to let you rest "

"What?!" Astrid exclaimed,as she rushed to her built-in wardrobe and it was empty, everything was gone.

"Why would you take my things without my permission?!" she asked.

"Let's go. " Andrew said ignoring her question.

"I'm not going anywhere " Astrid said as she sat on the bed and folded her arms

"Do you want me to carry you?" Andrew asked.

"You wouldn't dare" Astrid replied fiercely which amused Andrew deepening his interest. Astrid knew that he usually carried her military style on his shoulders and it'll affect her stomach. She knows that Andrew is overprotective when it comes to the baby so he wouldn't dare.

Andrew didn't say anything rather he opened the door with a smile which made Astrid scared and surprisingly five women came in with a stretcher, they spread the stretcher on the floor beside Astrid and she knew that it was for her.

She got up and stood on the bed and the women spread their selves around the bed in order to catch her in case she tries to run,she had already pictured how she'd look like on the stretcher being transported out of the hotel when she's perfectly fine shouting for help and the thought alone was embarrassing so she agreed to follow him as a normal human being.

"Fine I'll go" she said as she got down from the bed and Andrew nodded signalling the women to leave. Astrid glared hard at him as she walked out.

The drive was quiet because Astrid's head was flooded with thoughts of what they'll do to her,she kept thinking till she had a headache,she knew that Mrs Thompson hated her because Mira had already spoiled her image.

When they arrived, Astrid took three deep breaths before coming out of the car.

"Look I don't plan on pleasing who doesn't like me" Astrid said to Andrew when she came out.

"Did I ask you to?" Andrew asked as he went inside leaving Astrid behind

"Whose belongings were brought her" Mrs Thompson asked when Andrew steeped inside

"They belong to my wife" Andrew said leaving Mrs Thompson surprised. The word wife literally made Mira's heart jump because she saw the boxes that John carried and she recognized Astrid's bags.

Mira was disappointed when she saw Astrid walk in,she knew it that Astrid had seduced Andrew and won him over, she felt stupid for trusting Mrs Thompson when it came to Andrew,she should have dealt with Astrid herself and teach her not to touch what belongs to her

Andrew held her hand

"This is my wife " Andrew declared in front of his mother and Mira.
