Chapter 503

Even though I was awake, my body protested in agony at the lack of rest. My eyes were dry and my head felt fuzzy. I tried to get up several times but failed miserably. Resigned, I lay on the bed.

I knew how detrimental sleep deprivation could be.

As I lay down, I recalled what happened yesterday. While I had come to terms with it, I still couldn't help but feel upset.

Shortly after, I sensed movements next to me. Colin got up, his hair as messy as a bird's nest. He looked at me as I continued staring at the ceiling. We stayed in the same position in silence. I folded my arms. There was no way I would be the first one to break the ice.

Colin gazed at me nonchalantly, mockery filling his eyes. We continued for a good five minutes. Seeing that I refused to budge, Colin gave in and pecked the corner of my lips. Then, he ruffled my hair. "I'll make breakfast. Will pancakes do?"
