After dinner, I lay down with Queenie on the bed and listened as she told me what happened.

he's not going to fix shit. why give her false hope. he could have fixed this before. if he didn't agree so he could be with who he wanted to. but he didn't. he will just lead her on with false hope and crush her again.

so what! even if she is a marriage candidate. not telling Queenie this was happening was the most wrong he could have been. it's wrong and it's bullshit! it gives no reason for him pursing Queenie when he knew this was happening.
