ROSE
Dead was an understatement. As soon as the brunette with grassy green eyes looked at me, I saw her smile for Deamian turn to a scowl of resentment for me.
"You. What are you doing here?" She spat, crossing her arms over. Although she had every right to be angry, she was still talking to her alpha and I was not one for letting others disrespect me.
"Excuse me, but I am not a dog that you can just speak to like that." I said. It was then that Deamian spared the both of us confusing glances.
"You sure do act like a dog! And you look like one too. Like a mutt." And that was it. That was a boundary she overstepped... not even overstepped, she leapt across it and stomped on it.
I could feel my claws elongate and my fangs as well. I let out a low, angry growl which ripped from my chest. But she didn't look like she was scared.
ROSEI sat across from the Moon Goddess who sipped her tea and then looked up at me. I'd asked her a question and yet she still refused to tell me the answer."How familiar are you with your pack’s history?" She asked me as she daintily placed her teacup back on her saucer and cleared her throat.I shrugged, "I don't remember much. I was young when my parents told me about the pack."She shook her head in disappointment."You never even tried to find out?" She asked.I sighed, not in the mood to be lectured, "Look, I didn't have time to go and find out okay? Now if you would please enlighten me, Your Greatness!"She leaned back and placed her cup beside herself on the coffee table. She then crossed her legs over like a lady and interlocked her hands.
ROSE"What do you mean I will be living in your house? And what about my pack?" he said.I rolled my eyes at him as I led his dirty, smelly self to my house."People are trying to kill me and if they get to you, I'm definitely dead." I said.He huffed and stayed quiet until we reached the house. He looked up at the large light grey painted home surrounded by rose bushes of every colour and I swear for a second a smile made its way into his face. But it was gone too soon to be certain. We went inside and he ogled at the interior. The soft, blue couches, the black Coffee table, the big television against the wall, the fireplace and the white carpet underneath a small table which stood systematically around the lounge. We then went upstairs to the rooms and I led him to his."Your room. Ther
RYKERRYKERI didn't understand her... I couldn't. She was so heartless and cold. It was as though her heart was utterly love intolerant. Her eyes even held the most unemotional look in them as she glanced at me from above her cup of coffee. Did she really hate me so much that she wouldn't even try to get to know me? I knew I was a "worthless omega" but did she really hate my status that much? If she knew who I really was, would her feelings for me change? Would she fall for the other part of me?"So, I'm out today, last night we had a few more stray werewolves. You can check out the pack grounds if you would like. If so, inform Carina. Under no circumstance are you to go around unattended!""Why?" I asked, hoping that maybe it was a sign of affection. Maybe she didn't want me hurt because she actually cared."So, you don't go telling people t
ROSEWe ate in silence. I don't know why but today was hell being away from Ryker for so long. I had to be near him, and I didn't understand why. I'd been fine before he moved in..."How was work?" He mumbled.I was shocked at this and was about to retort something when I decided to just go with the flow."It was fine." I said. I was still wondering about what happened between Carina and him. What had made her cry like that?He nodded and shovelled more food into his mouth. It was at this point that I was struck by his appearance. Was it possible that he'd become more attractive overnight? Although pale and still quite bony he seemed even healthier, even more radiant with a soft, pure aura radiating about him."So, is this how our conversations are always going to be? I ask something and you give an answer indicating t
ROSE"So, you're finally showing me the Moon Flower today?"Weeks had passed since Ryker's coming into my home and today, he had to spend the day with Carina in the human world while I met with the Goddess. She giggled for a long while, recovered, looked at my face and then said, "Oh, you were serious?""Dead serious. How am I supposed to protect something if I don't even know where it is or what it looks like?" I said. She sighed and nodded, saying, "I suppose you are right..."She then stood up and motioned for me to do the same. And so, I did. She then moved closer towards me and took my hand which really startled and shocked me."Oh, don't look like that," she said with a playful put, and then we literally teleported into an underground greenhouse-looking place. For a second, I tripped and
ROSEI woke up almost ambushed by Deamian who hovered over me. I was on the floor and my body ached slightly. The idiot pushed me off!"What. The. Actual. Fudgeballs!" I yelled. He burst out laughing and I took the opportunity to trip him.He landed with a hard thump right next to me. I began laughing and so did he... Until eventually we stopped. We were close... Very close. His piercing blue eyes stared into my soul and roamed my face as though he were capturing it for future reference. For some or other odd reason my heart began thudding hard against my chest and I gulped slightly. I must be getting the flu, right? Probably from all those plants in the Moon Goddess' sanctuary. We were so lost in each other. So, stuck in our own world that when Carina entered the room, I nearly had a heart attack. She stared at us; he
ROSEAs soon as Deamian was gone, I had to go and help Carina find my idiot mate who was still missing. Pack members we questioned had said that they'd seen him for the day, walking around and making friends but I didn't care. He disobeyed me- again. He was so stubborn, so defiant. He was unlike any werewolf I'd met before. He didn't even really fear me, and that is what had me so interested in him. If it had been anyone else, they would have been dead by now, for defying me so much. However, with Ryker, I could not live without his defiance. He made me normal, not like some kind of raging monster. After searching the restaurant, admin department and storage facilities, Carina and I decided to check the training centre.Low and behold, my mate was there, talking to Henry as though they were the best of friends. To say I was absolutely outraged would be an under
RYKERShe fell asleep next to me. She was gorgeous and looked so innocent and harmless while her eyes were shut. Finally, I'd broken through her walls. Hopefully, I'd end up capturing her heart too. But there was something that made me nervous. How would she react to the truth and would it break our trust when she found out?I couldn't think of that now though. I was just enjoying her being close to me. She still reeked of Deamian though and I wasn't sure how that made me feel... His scent was always on her though, always lingering…. I’d known Deamian for a long time, probably longer than anyone else. He and I, we could never seem to escape one another.I snuggled closer to her and wrapped an arm around her body. Once she said the words, I'd show her the truth. She wriggled slightly and then settled, probably feeling the sparks between u
