Not yours

In the parlor, Rock sat quietly, his back was leaning against the couch and his legs crossed as he tapped gently on his temple with eyes close. It's not that he didn't want to talk to Katherine, he just didn't know how to express his thoughts. He was taking his time to process everything.

Katherine bit her lips, fear instantly gripping her as she walked into the room and saw Rock in that position. She misunderstood the man and all she felt and perceived from him was anger, rage and irritation.

When Rock's icy gray orbs suddenly shot into her wary one, she shuddered, looking down in fright. How the man could manage to change his mood in a splitting seconds still eluded her.

"Sit down," Rock abruptly said, but in Katherine's mind, it sounded like a harsh command. And she hurriedly obeyed, plopping down on the couch opposite Rock without bothering to steal a single glance at him.

Rock uncrossed his legs as he leaned forward while propping his elbows on his lap.
