2024-10-29 19:42:56Hestia is contemplating on her decision, she was ordered to have a low profile inside the school to avoid too much attention and yet here she is, following the 'President' to the council room for the application of being a Vice President.
'Why am I doing this? I was ordered to have a low profile so I can do the mission efficiently and without any trouble and here I am, signing up as Vice President. But what can I do? I can't go inside the gymnasium where the target spends most of his time because I am not an authorized personnel, and I can't just walk to him when he's out, he won't pay attention because I'm a nobody. I can't also attempt to be in his circle, I have to become popular first to try and that defies the order of having a discreet profile. Argh! This is the only choice left.'
Hestia thought to herself profusely as they walk through the hallways. Students kept on giving them a glance, some even whispers, "It's the new girl, and the President. They look good together." The others nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, Damian is trying to keep his poker face, deep inside, he is enjoying the moment. This is what he wanted after all. For the very first time he laid eyes on Hestia, he knew he has to get her. He tried to follow her and get her attention but to think that the girl has no care in the world, he devised a plan. He first requested her sister: Excami, to ask Hestia to become the Vice President. He observed her as his sister does the job and his confidence of ever getting the girl is getting lower and lower.
He almost lost hope until, luck struck him and had given him the chance to talk to Hestia. But even though he had finally convinced Hestia to become the Vice President, there is still some Question lingering in his mind: 'Why does she wanted to go inside the gymnasium? Could it be that she has a crush on one of the athletes?'
And because of that, the two of them is deep in their thoughts; Hestia thinking on a way to turn this in her favor and Damian thinking on who Hestia has a crush on. They completely ignored the stares and whispers that surround them up to the council room. Damian opened the doors and there revealed your typical student council room. An office desk on the top right corner of the room with a big window behind it, a trophy shelf on the top left corner, two sofas facing each other and a table in the middle at the lower left of the room, beside the sofas is a flat TV fixed on the wall and a bookshelf on the lower right of the room. "Welcome to the Student Council room Miss Leblanc. Now, shall we arrange your application as the Vice President?" Damian was the first one to break the silence, he walked to the office desk and grabbed some papers from the drawer. Hestia followed him and quickly glanced at the trophy shelf, the La Florence Academy had won so many contest ranging from academics to physical contest making the trophy shelf crowded.
"Do I really have to do this right away? We still have classes you know." Hestia reminded, even though he is the S.C. (Student Council) President, he is still a student. They still have to attend their classes. Even if Hestia already know and mastered the lessons to the point where she could teach her classmates better that the teachers, she is also a student and she doesn't like breaking the rules; this is also the reason why she is favored by the seniors in ISO.
"No worries Miss Leblanc, after you signed this papers, we can just tell the teachers that I gave you a tour on the duties and responsibilities of an S.C. Vice President— especially the perks, and we'll be off the hook. Although, we have to catch up on the lesson, preferably copy our classmate's notes." Damian reasoned. He finally got the chance to be with Hestia alone and appreciate her beauty more without the stares of other men. He really like this moment.
Hestia, on the other hand, isn't enjoying this. Even though she learned that Damian is the kind who uses his power to his own advantage, she still hated the fact that she needs to sign those papers while the President is keenly staring at her. She also hated the fact that she has no other choice but to do this in order to progress on her mission, and she really hated the fact that somehow, she is breaking the order of having a discreet profile.
'Wait a second, if I signed this application and became the Vice President, doesn't mean that the public has to know right? I mean, I can perform my part as Vice President while the students not knowing it. Therefore, I can keep my identity discreet whilst performing my duties and making progress on my mission. What a great idea self, I'm so proud of you.' Hestia thought to herself while signing the applications. But before she finished, she faced the President who is still staring at her and noticed that the President is deep in thought. His reddish eyes fixed and his forehead slightly creased. She can't help but be curious on what could make the President so deep in his thoughts.
For the moment there, the President was actually trying to figure out on who Hestia has a crush on. Though, his train of thought was cut off as Hestia slightly coughed.
"Y– Yes Miss Leblanc, is there anything I can help you with?" He said while composing himself.
"President Damian—"
"Please just call me Pres."
"Well then... Pres. I have a request, and I hope that you can grant it." Hestia said with her business woman voice. Damian was taken aback by what Hestia just said. 'What could be Hestia's request? Did she changed her mind? Does she not want to be my Vice President anymore? Or does she want an exclusive time with her crush alone in the gymnasium?' This thoughts swirled inside Damians' brain but he quickly collected himself.
"Let me hear it Miss Leblanc, and I will see what I can do." Damian said in his most confident voice.
"Well Pres, I would like you to keep this a secret."
"Keep what a secret?" Damian's baffled, his face showing total confusion. "Keep what a secret Miss Leblanc, please elaborate."
"I mean, keep this, me being the Vice President a secret. I'm, actually not got with crowds and stares and constant attention of others. I already had a fair share of it for being a new girl and I don't want to experience it again with them knowing that I'm the S.C. Vice President." Hestia said while showing her best 'shy girl' look and voice. This is one of those times that she was thankful on her acting skills.
"May I know why?" Damian asked. To think that the girl he fell in love at first sight is like this, it make him want her all the more. To him, it means he needs to protect her at all cost.
"I– It's something private. I– I– I don't want to talk about it." Hestia tried her best to look shyer, hoping that the boy would not ask anymore question.
"Oh, I'm sorry Miss Leblanc. Well then, if that's your request, then I shall grant it. You being the V.P. will only be shared with the S.C. members, staff and teachers and no one else, I will also request them to keep this a secret. Of course, you can work behind the shadows, you can also not wear this bandana, but you still have to perform your duties. Are we clear?"
"Yes Pres."
"All right. Welcome to the Student Council, Vice President Hestia Leblanc."
And with that, they shake their hands and got to their remaining classes, of needless to say having Damian Discreetly telling the teachers about the situation.
Two days later, Hestia can, finally, enter the gymnasium. (She can't for the past two days because of duties and paper works assigned and left by the former V.P.)
'At last, the target is now in my reach.' She finally took her first step inside the gymnasium. However, she met an ugly discovery.
