SSHS 211 Albert and Hestia soon began their work. From the information that they have gathered from Aaron yesterday, it seemed that the villain of the story is Freya all along and they are being spun in her web the further that they entertain her requests and pleas for help. “I cannot believe we almost fell for that trap.” Albert grumbled under his breath as he arranged all of the cables, wires and gadgets that were scattered in his dorm room--- it became so cluttered that he could not see the floor anymore and the dorm lord ordered him to clean his stuff up or else he would throw it out himself. As of the moment, Hestia and Albert were talking through a phone call--- while Albert was cleaning his place, Hestia, on the other hand, was busy arranging her bulletin board that was hidden in her walls. Her usual bulletin board was not enough anymore, she needed a bigger one and fortunately, she has a couple of other bulletin boards stored in her closet t
SSHS 212 It was the darkest part of his life yet. And there is no way that he will be able to forget not even a single detail about that time, about that day… he can never forget. That is the only contribution that he can do in the name of forgiveness and retribution. It was all that he can muster at the moment as he is still being a coward of some of the things that he encounters in life. He might tremble at the face of a police officer or even flinch at the sudden wail of a siren whether far afar or nearby. No matter what, such fear creeps inside his veins continuously as he holds that secret deep within him and no one knows about it. No one must know about it or else it would be his doom. It would be his end. He would rather die than let anyone know about it, he would rather end his life than spill the beans about it. That is how determined he was in keeping it a secret. After all, it was a grave sin that he made in order to satisfy the desires and greed that he had accumulated
SSHS 213 It then became apparent to them how it would behard to convince Arthur to be on their side and to turn his back to Freya. Asidefrom the fact that they have yet to know what is Arthur’s secret and how darkis it that he was willing to be enslaved by the senior cheerleader. They haveasked Aaron about it but even he does not know such a thing about Arthur. As Aaronhave told to the two rookie undercover spies, “It is the subject that he doesnot want to talk about nor even touch. He was avoiding it and I only knew aboutthat--- that he has a dark secret because he slipped his tongue one time. And whenI really persuaded him to talk about it, he lashed out. After that, I neverasked about it again.” By how Aaron’s face became crestfallen after telling that, it is evident that he was traumatised by how the Computer Tech Boy lashed out on him. He was shocked that Arthur was capable of unleashing such an emotion. Well, who would not be? In any case, every person
SSHS 214 The two rookie undercover spies went on with their days about their clubs and classes. So far as they noticed, nothing has changed, from their observation of Freya’s and Arthur’s movements, they seemed to also be plotting something but they are also discreet about it that they were cautious with their movements. It was like they were aware that they were being watched. But then again, the same can be said to the two rookie undercover spies: they are also being watched. The two sides of the coin were watching each other, ready to strike once the other moved a different way or in a dubious way. At the end of that day’s classes, Hestia and Albert first went back to their dorms to get ready. They changed into their casual attire and went to meet each other at the main road of the school ground. They walked their way towards the gymnasium number one, just like what they talked about with Aaron on the phone that early morning. Once in front of the gym number one, they looked at
SSHS 215 After arriving at the front of the Café de Luna, the two rookie undercover spies were greeted with a warm smile by the receptionist. “Name of Reservation?” The receptionist asked as they were led inside the café. “Torento.” Was all that Albert said and the receptionist understood, that they are the guests of Aaron Wysickle Antonio Torento for the day. Although it was really them who made the reservation, they just useD Aaron’s surname as an identifier. As they walked deeper into the café, it was significant that the free space of the café--- to which some of the guests who prefer to dine in the café in an open space--- were vacant, there not a single customer on sight as they walked inside the café. “This way please.” The receptionist said as they were led into the elevator, then the receptionist pressed the button for the third floor. Once the elevator moved upwards, a mellow elevator music began playing as the three of them remained silent. Until A
SSHS 216The two rookie undercover spies were reluctant if they were going to share that piece of information to the Basketball Star Player. The need to know to know the answer to the question: who was the person behind the voice; was so intense and the fact that they are under the pressure of time right now is an added burden. "Nothing. We just needed to know." Hestia reasoned out as they arrived at the conclusion that it is better for the Basketball Star Player to not know that part of the story. It might endanger their identity as a spy in the end if they ever mentioned that part. Aaron also brushed off the topic and moved on with what they are talking next.
SSHS 217 And yet, even if they arrived at the decision to not talk about such matter, the curiosity and the need to know for the answer behind their questions continued to probe inside their brains. It was so constant that it was getting hard to ignore and for it to be shoved back in to the back of their minds. And in the end, curiosity won. “Hey, Aaron, I have a question.” Albert started. Such statement caught the attention of the Basketball Star Player as he stopped what he was doing and curiously looked at the male undercover rookie spy. There was a bit more silence before Aaron gave the nod that signaled that it was okay to ask whatever question he has in mind. “Okay,” Albert cleared his throat for a moment. Some of the pudding still stuck in his throat. “So, before autumn, have you been here? In this café?” there was a tone of uncertainty in Albert’s voice. Hestia noticed it but never pointed it out and just continued eating her dessert. Such question tinkered in Aaron’s mind a
SSHS 218 Aaron already expected this. That he would be the last option that they could have when talking about trying to save Arthur, or at least to convince him to join their side. He already expected this, he knew that this was coming, he even ‘trained’ himself--- both mentally and emotionally for this--- but in the moment of it all, when it was finally announced to him that he is indeed the last resort for this thing, he cannot help but feel nervous and unsure. “Okay.” Was all that he could utter at that moment. He knew about this, but the moment it self being true is a new kind of truth puncher. “Okay, I can do that.” He repeated and tried to coat his dry throat with the remaining drops of coffee in his mouth. He was trembling a little, he knew that, but he cannot help but to do so. This did not go unnoticed in the trained eyes of the two rookie undercover spies. They noticed the trembling, and the uncertainty and being unsure laced in the voice of the Basketball Star Player. T
