SSHS 193 Hestia observed the paranoid Fourth Year student for a moment as she sat down with her. Freya’s eyes were frantic, looking from left to right and back and forth as if she was weary of something or someone--- as if she was being cautious of her surroundings--- as if there was danger lurking around her and she was being cautious of it. This made Hestia concerned of the mentality of the senior cheerleader. This is not like her at all. Freya is that social butterfly who was always seen smiling and cheerful, ready to greet everyone with a smile and spread positivity to the others. And yet the Freya in front of her was the opposite of the usual Freya. A tap on her right shoulder and the senior cheerleader was sent into a whole body flinch. “Hey, it’s just me.” Hestia said, her voice a bit cold and monotone but there was a slight hint of concern in them. Giving the feeling that Freya is safe around her and that there is nothing to fear at all. Freya looked at the Student Co
SSHS 194 The giggles from the fourth year student can be heard echoing through the cafe. The customers inside were almost gone and there are only a few handful of them inside… mostly students but from other schools. The two girls from the La Florence Academy were still telling each other stories… but despite the giggles and funny laughter coming from the fourth year student, the topic of their conversation was actually quite serious. It may not be evident from the interaction, but then again, it is only Freya who was laughing… and not Hestia. All of her questions were serious— as it was all about information that only Freya can give. But due to the fact that every question of Hestia— Freya has an answer with a funny story behind it that was connected to her answer.
SSHS 195 At first, Hestia started the conversation with the simple questions about the relationship between Freya and Arthur. Although she had heard the story from the female fourth year student a while ago, she asked again so as a way to confirm things and to also see if there are other things that can be added to it. At first, Freya started the story the same way that she did before. Detailing how she and the male fourth year student met during their freshman year… on the very first day of the school year to be exact and they hit it off from there. Freya also told her in great detail on how bold Arthur was when they were together— on how he would always ensue a PDA but Freya was shy back then so she would always flinch back since she was not used to those things at all. “And that would be the explanation on why our relationship now is private and why we only do romantic stuff in private. This also helped us hide our relationship between our fathers— especially mine— since Papa i
SSHS 196 Freya looked down at her fingers again, playing with them as she avoided the stare of the rookie undercover spy that was beside her. Hestia’s question made the fourth year student silent again. It is either she was thinking of an answer or that the answer was too sensitive or taboo to even talk about. “Freya?” Hestia called the attention of the fourth year student, to which Freya did as she raised her head up and looked at the Student Council Secretary. “I asked you what happened after that? What happened after he told you that I was a spy and after he joined the Student Council last year?” Hestia stared into the eyes of the fourth year student with intensity, waiting for an answer to her question. But Freya only made the silence longer as she also continued to stare at the eyes of the Student Council Secretary. “Um… after that… after that…” Freya trailed off, breaking the silence between them but she has yet to answer in full sentence. “I— I did not believe it at first. A
SSHS 197 The familiar clunk coming from the glass tube of cryptex can be heard throughout the room. Hestia and Albert looked at each other at the resonance of the sound. A signal that the crypotex has been solved and the message can now be accessed. Hestia carefully extracted the piece of paper inside the glass tube cryptex and put the cryptex down the desk of Albert. With bated breaths, Albert waited for Hestia to read what was written at the piece of paper out loud. “What is in it?” Albert lost his patience and asked his spy partner. But instead of reading what was written, Hestia simply showed him the paper. There were no letter written in the paper--- only symbols to which they are vaguely familiar with. Some strokes and commas and circles: one small and one big circle. The more that the two of them stared at the piece of paper, the more they remembered the symbols are about. Or how to decode them. “We often see this when we get dragged to a trial to watc
SSHS 198 At the final week of the month of September, the clubs were busy compiling all the files they needed with regards to their new recruit from last week--- the Recruitment Week. They were gathering all their new recruits from the freshmen year and they were making things quick for the filing of the documents. Some clubs were actually clever as they were able to compile the documents in a fast manner: by making their registration an online one, with the use of forms and from there, they input the information to a template document, thus, making the work much easier for them and actually submitting the documents for the Student Council to review before it heads to the faculty for encoding. One of these clubs were the Gaming Club, the Tech Club and the Photography Club. It was very efficient for them as the Student Council members themselves when they knocked on the office doors first thing in the morning that Wednesday. Then there are those clubs who like to pass
SSHS 199 Hestia was alone in the Student Council Office, all silent and quiet and peaceful for her— just the right atmosphere. The right atmosphere for her to study all the things that she needed to know. After all, midterms are on the way and she has a lot to catch up. Then there was the mission about Freya whom she and Albert were thrown in a stupid rabbit hole and tumbled deeper and deeper until they can no longer see the light. She and him talked about this in their call. That if ever this felt like something that is similar to the case of Yulia Don Brook, they will call the assistance of the ISO spies. As they did from back then— although the mission was forcefully taken from them when they only asked for backup. This time, they are still only going to ask for backup, and if ever the case will be taken to them, they shall give it back— in the condition that they still be partially involved, ‘partially’.
SSHS 200 It was halfway through the day and Hestia was near giving up on the things that she needed to do for the day. Of course, all of her Student Council Secretary duties were done with lightning fast speed, as well as her reviewers and whatnot that are related to her schools and studies. But what tolled on her the most was hers and Albert’s mission that is about Freya. There were a ton of information to absorb and she nor even he was halfway there. It was so much with even just a folder containing various pictures of Freya in different angles, and some pictures not only containing her but also other people in the frame. Some they can identify, but the others were not familiar at all. Hestia let out a deep sigh as she slumped down the sofa and tried to relax her body. She has been so tensed for the past hours that her muscled were craving some stretch and relaxation. She agreed with what her muscles were craving. She stood up and began stretching for the best tha
SSHS 247After the Thanksgiving dinner that night and that mission, the two rookie undercover spies went on with their days. They went on being the ‘normal’ third years that they are and continued being the third years that they are. No more missions were given to them after the mission about the Montague couple and they do not know if the headquarters of the ISO where sympathising with their shock or if there is really no more mission for them to do. But either way, they are glad that they were able to finish the mission in such a short time and also experience being students as they are. They went on and experienced things as if they were normal people and not some spies who were trained at the very young age. Not some undercover people who are in there for the sake of completing their mis
SSHS 246After the game it was already time for dinner, Damian and Excami won because none of them were able to find out what kind of thing they had and they were all tagged out of the game. It was fun for the most part but what everyone waited for was the thanksgiving dinner and it was satisfying. They enjoyed every bite and they waited for the dessert because it was the star of the dinner the dessert. Then after eating, they lounged a little longer by the dinner table and talked about all the other things, like the fun times that they had in school, the love story between the Montague couple how they met how they fell in love and then almost talked about how they conceived the children but thankfully damien and Excami stopped them before it happened. The Montague siblings almost asked about the families of Hestia and Albertand what kind of stori
SSHS 245Sometime later, it is already the Month Of October and things have been going smoothly both for the Montague siblings and for the two rookie undercover spies and for the Montague couple. for the course of the month of october, Hestia and Albert had been invited for dinners and lunches by either Damian or Excami and would always result for a dinner together with their parents and with that the bond between all of them had grow and become stronger and they were more close with each other than ever before. But there is something that the two rookie undercover spies can not pinpoint at all. because most of the past missions they have been assigned to, they are always making the opportunity to get close to the target; they are always making the opportunity to do something, to create a movement, a pattern, a path for their mission t
Sshs 244The next day, Hestia and Albert walked side by side to their classroom. Apparently, the whole school knew of the incident yesterday: Mrs. . Montague pulled them out for the whole day and never came back until the wee hours of the night. Some people tried to block them and ask a ton of questions about what happened yesterday; questions like: what happened? Where did you go? What did she say? Was she generous? Was she kind? Was she loving and sweet and like a saint when she visited back at the beach house? What did you talk about with her? Such a ton of questions were asked to them and yet they remained silent about it. No comment, no answers, just complete silence as they went through
SHS 243 They ate in silence, up until dessert. No one spoke a word and it stayed that way until they were brought into the library. No one spoke as each of them were encouraged to pick a book in the vast collection of books inside the library. As they sat into the chairs available at the library, only then did the conversation start at the pretence of wanting to know what book they found. “How about you, Hestia? Albert? What book did you pick?” Hestia and Albert then lifted up the books that they picked. Mrs. Montague cooed at the books in their hands and proceeded to analyse them. “Wow! You live up to your personality. Unlike someone else.” Mrs. Montague threw in the shade as she briefly looked at her children who were silently reading with their father on the other side of the library. It was not quite far, but it seemed that the Montague siblings were so immersed in what they were reading that they did not notice the shade that was thrown at them by their
SSHS 242 As the three of them sat in silence without any of them taking a bite of their food, they tried to process the information that was at their table. The Montague siblings have been showing two different personalities and all between being inside the school and at school. If at school, they were glorified as students who are the top role models; a fun and energetic one and a gentle ruler, both were on ground and knew how to touch some grass. At home, they are the arrogant siblings who think they are better than anyone and will not even go down to their current level. It was as if they know the a person with the same name and yet still different by how they act.&nb
SSHS 241 A new school year started right before their eyes. Without any mission to worry about, time passed by the two rookie undercover spies and with barely any notice, they were in their third years. There were a lot of things that happened but they were used to it and it passed by them like a flash of the camera and after that, it was already in the middle of the month of September. The voting for the new Student Council began and the whole school was bussing with noises and the representative of the running Student Council President was shouting and getting people to vote for their candidates. “Please vote for…” one student shouted. “No, please vote for…” another student shouted. It was the start of the shouting battle between the two parties running for the Student Council President position. It created so much commotion that Damian had to step up and break the commotion apart. “Enough with this! This is so immature of you! Can’t you go and make your da
SSHS 240 As the surroundings dimmed into darkness, the light sensors in the gymnasium began to light up. Freya’s eyes adjusted from the dark and into the light that the sensor lights brought up. She shielded her eyes with her hands from the sudden light and that was Albert’s cue to remove himself from the sight of the Senior Cheerleader and go behind her. This is not to catch her off guard--- oh she was already caught off guard by the time she mentioned the Pandora’s Box--- but it was his way to not let Freya do anything anymore that will put herself into more danger. It is better if she just surrenders to them in a plain and simple manner.&
SSHS 239 “By the way, how were the Montague siblings? I have not heard from them after that incident with Arthur.” Albert asked. The two rookie undercover spies were roaming around the campus, taking a leisure walk as they passed by some of the students who were headed for their extra curricular activities. The two of them do indeed have some activities too but it was all done. Hestia is done with her paper works and scheduling for the Student Council and Albert was also done with his portfolio for the Photography Club with the theme of ‘After Christmas’. There was a moment of silence to the part of Hestia before she answered the inquiry of her spy partner. “They have been normal, acting as they always have as far as I am concerned. Although Excami now has her guard up always and was weary of everything and everyone, she is as cheerful as ever. Well, it is Damian who changed. He became more strict and protective of his sister, and he also became colder.” Hest
