Chapter 85 Don't Worry

Laura smiled, but didn't comment on Shannon's words.

However, she had to admit, that Chris did treat her quite well.

Shannon had been keeping an eye on the store during the whole of lunch, Laura allowed her to get off work early to rest.

As soon as Shannon left, Laura's phone rang.

She looked at the caller ID and fell silent. But in the end, she chose to answer the call.

"Dad."

"Laura." Nicholas's voice sounded on the other end of the line.

Laura pursed her lips but didn't say anything. She waited for Nicholas to speak.

"Laura, you don't need to come back to the Walker family's house in the future."

To Laura, she felt that Nicholas was the only person in the Walker family that would speak up for her. But his first words made Laura want to cry. Tears trickled down her cheeks.

"Your brother's currently in the hospital. The doctors said that he would be hospitalized for a week." There was a short pause. "Get your husband to come and apologize to your brother when you have time."
