Chapter 569 The Reason

Alex had arranged for his men to check the surveillance footage, but it was a coincidence that all the cameras were down for the past couple of days.

This meant that Alex wasn't sure if anyone else had gone into Mrs. Summers' ward except Laura.

From what he could see at the moment, Laura was the biggest suspect.

However, everything looked simple, but it was actually very complicated.

Alex was in the ward with Mrs. Summers. Therefore, if someone went into the ward there would be noise. But throughout the whole process, Alex remained asleep and didn't notice anyone coming into the room.

Alex was also able to figure something out from what the police told him. Laura had tried to wake him up, but wasn't able to.

If Laura was telling the truth, then something was wrong.

However, Alex felt that Laura could be lying.

But his instincts told him that Laura wasn't lying.

What was even more strange was that the bodyguards that he had placed outside the ward were all sent somewhere else.
