"Okay, Granddad," Angeline replied.

After Robert left for his seat at the front of the private jet, Asher spread open a blanket and covered Angeline's feet. "You should rest now."

"Thank you, Mr. Millstone!" Angeline smiled at Asher before looking up and said, "By the way, Asher, could you tell Jamie to go home after we land? Poor Jamie got startled because of me."

"Okay, let me handle this," Asher replied, smiling.

Angeline was left alone in this quiet space. She closed her eyes, and the scene of her parting unhappily with Sean flashed in her mind.

She remembered her threatening Sean not to force her to contact Bart.

And she remembered Sean threatening her not to force him to send Thomas to meet Tina in hell.

As Angeline's eyes remained closed, the scene of Sean slamming the door and leaving flashed in her mind.

Angeline once thought the toughest thing standing between her and Sean was merely her waiting for him or him not being there when she needed him.
