She couldn't sleep after hanging up, so she got out of bed and turned on her laptop to attend to the work that had been delayed because of Bart's abduction.

Angeline was taken aback when she opened the door the next morning to head to work. Lenny wasn't alone in waiting for her—four other professionally trained bodyguards were with him.

When she showed up, the bodyguard in the lead stepped forward. "Good morning, Ms. Lawson. Mr. Millstone arranged for us to protect you from today onward."

"Oh. Thanks for your hard work, then," Angeline said.

Lenny bowed his head more. His guilt over what had happened the day before grew. He shouldn't have abandoned Angeline during his working hours because of Celia's parent
