"A-Angie…" Ned said in a husky voice in disbelief. "W-Why are you here? How about Yasmine? Who's taking care of her?"

Ned had heard that Yasmine was fine when he woke up at midnight, and Angeline had been there the day before until he was out of the operating room.

"She's with Granddad. Don't worry." Angeline stopped Ned when she saw him trying to sit up and crank up the bed from the bed's end.

Ned's eyes were focused on Angeline as she went to wash her hands after cranking the bed and took an apple from the fruit basket. "Would you like an apple?"
