Chapter 492

Sean's words made warmth trickle through Angeline's veins. They seemed to have grown closer after a short cold war. In the past, they'd never squabbled like this before. It was as if they were nothing but a regular couple.

Angeline leaned against the couch's armrest and propped her head up with one hand. Her eyes became a little misty and red—she wanted badly to tell Sean how much she missed him, but she was also afraid he would tell Taylor to turn the car around. It would only cause more delay for him.

Sean hadn't said anything about agreeing to her request to reach common ground, but his actions showed he was going along with what she wanted.

His voice rang out again on the other end of the line. "It's time to go to bed."

"Alright. Let me know once you've arrived, and stay safe."

After hanging up, Angeline called Jamie. "Ask Taylor for a copy of Mr. Lawson's schedule tomorrow."
