CALLIE

"Alright, let’s do this," I muttered under my breath, heading for the pile of wrapped gifts under the tree. “I'll go first.”

I spotted Ethan in the corner of my eye, his mischievous smile already directed my way. That fool… he thought he had me figured out. Well, this time I’d show him just how wrong he was.

I made my way over to the table, where the gifts were scattered around, carefully observing the ones with name tags. I saw my gift, written in bold letters, the one Ethan had prepared for me.

Without hesitation, I picked up the box with my name on it and, with a casual movement, ripped off the tag. I quickly swapped it for Sophie’s name. Then, with a satisfied grin, I picked up the gift meant for her…a small, neatly wrapped box… and tucked it under my arm.

Done.

I turned back toward the group as everyone began to grab their presents.

Ethan's gaze shifted toward me, his smile widening into a knowing grin as he saw me helding to the chair.

He hadn't realized that his "gift"

SEBASTIANEveryone in the room was stunned into silence. Their wide-eyed expressions told me everything… they never saw it coming. Not from me. I had spent years playing the obedient son, toeing the line, and keeping my head down. But not anymore.Charlotte looked like she might faint. Her hand clutched the pearls around her neck as though they could somehow anchor her to reality. Ethan, meanwhile, just stood there, slack-jawed. He was always the favorite, the one who could do no wrong. But now, he was left picking up the pieces of a plan I had just shattered.“Sebastian,” Charlotte finally croaked, her voice trembling. “You can’t be serious. Do you even understand what you’re giving up?”“Oh, I understand perfectly,” I said, my tone razor-sharp. “I’m giving up a lifetime of manipulation, deceit, and living under the family’s thumb ” I jerked my head toward Mr. Thompson, whose face was still a dangerous shade of red. “I’m done.”“You’ll regret this,” Ethan muttered, his voice laced wi

  • Second Chances Under the Tree    I'm also horny

CALLIEThis wasn’t what I expected. Not in the slightest. When I thought about running away with Sebastian, I had envisioned something a little more… peaceful. Maybe a quiet retreat where we could leave all the chaos behind, just the two of us, wrapped up in our own bubble of love. But now? It felt like an adventure. A wild one, but an adventure nonetheless.I glanced over at Sebastian as he focused on the road. There was something about the way he was driving, the way his jaw clenched with resolve, that made me want to just reach out and hold him. We were running from a life neither of us wanted, but this… this felt like the beginning of something new. Something real. And, honestly, as much as I was terrified of what the future held, a part of me was also loving it. Loving that it was just us now. No more lies, no more games, no more expectations to meet. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I could breathe. But then, just like that, the cold edge of reality slid in, a shiv

  • Second Chances Under the Tree    A Situation

CALLIEThe moment the door to our hotel room closed, I turned to Sebastian, my heart racing, my body aching for his touch.Without saying a word, I leaned in, capturing his lips in a deep kiss. He responded immediately, his hands gripping my waist, pulling me closer as if he couldn’t stand even an inch of space between us.God, I had missed this. His lips were everything I remembered… soft, yet commanding, tasting faintly of the peppermint gum he had been chewing earlier. I melted into him, letting the world outside fade away, consumed by the heat building between us.My hands found their way to his chest, sliding over the muscles beneath his shirt. But it wasn’t enough. I needed more. I slipped my hands under his shirt, feeling the warmth of his skin, the steady thrum of his heartbeat beneath my palm.“Callie,” he murmured against my lips, his voice thick with desire.“Shh,” I whispered, my fingers working to undo the buttons of his shirt. “No talking. Just… this.”He chuckled softly

SEBASTIANI stared at the receptionist, my brows knitting together. "I'm sorry, what?"She fidgeted with the clipboard in her hands, avoiding my gaze. "I… I really am sorry, sir," she said, her voice wavering slightly. "But the order comes directly from the manager. He insists that you have to vacate the building immediately.""Vacate the building? Why?"She glanced down at her clipboard again, her fingers tightening around it. "I'm not at liberty to discuss the specifics," she said quietly, "but it’s urgent. The manager instructed me to offer you a full refund as compensation. Please, pack your belongings and come downstairs as soon as possible to sign out and collect it."I folded my arms across my chest, feeling my irritation spike. "That’s not exactly reassuring, you know. You can’t just kick us out without a valid explanation."The receptionist flinched slightly but held her ground. "I understand, sir, truly. But I’m afraid I can’t say more. I’ll be waiting downstairs."Without w

CALLIEI was exhausted, my body aching from the stress of the day. Every part of me wanted to collapse, to just curl up and forget about everything, but I couldn't. Not now. Not with Sebastian at my side, looking as worn out as I felt. I could see the tension in his jaw, the way his eyes seemed to cloud over with the weight of the pressure pressing down on him.But it wasn’t just the stress from his father. It was the way everything was falling apart, how our lives seemed to be spiraling out of control… and I couldn’t help but feel like I was the reason for all of it. If I hadn’t made that stupid mistake at the club, if I hadn’t gotten involved with Sebastian in the first place, none of this would be happening.I closed my eyes for a moment, my fingers curling around his as we walked through the empty parking lot toward yet another hotel. The guilt squeezed at my chest, but I refused to let it break me. I couldn’t.I wasn’t going to let Sebastian go through this alone. When we reach

CALLIEI woke up to the gentle warmth of Sebastian’s lips pressing against my forehead, then my cheeks, and finally, my lips. His voice was soft but insistent.“Wake up, Callie,” he murmured. “We’ve got a flight to catch.”I groaned, stretching lazily as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes. My muscles ached in the best way possible, a reminder of last night’s escapades in the bathroom. It had been… intense. Sebastian had a way of making every moment feel like an adventure, and that bath had been no exception. As I sat up, my eyes met his, and I couldn’t help but smile. “Good morning,” I said, my voice still raspy from sleep. He smiled back, his fingers brushing a stray strand of hair from my face. “Good morning, beautiful.”His gaze lingered, filled with a tenderness that made my heart flutter. It was moments like these that reminded me why, despite all the chaos and danger, I couldn’t imagine my life without him.“You slept like a rock,” he teased, sitting on the edge of the bed. “I was

You could’ve spared me all the stress and drama.”He winced slightly, “I didn’t want to tell you because I knew you’d be scared. You wouldn’t have agreed to let my guy shoot her. Not here, not today.”I was about to retort when I glanced around, my gaze landing on the guests who still remained eerily silent. My heart tightened with a sudden wave of discomfort. “Wait… have the guests been informed about all of this? About what’s happening?”Sebastian gave me that damn smile of his, the one that made everything seem like it was under control. “Oh, they know. I had to tell them. I didn’t want there to be chaos when it all went down.”I narrowed my eyes. “You’re not serious,” I muttered, lightly hitting his head playfully. "You had to make sure everything went according to plan, even the guests."He chuckled softly. “Callie, you’re the one who’s always thinking things throu

The brushes moved across my face like they were supposed to, but my mind kept drifting, wondering how the hell I had ended up here. SEBASTIANI kept my eyes on the road, but my attention was mostly on Callie. She was sitting there quiet, her fingers tapping nervously against her knee. It was meant to make her forget all about that witch and focus on us.I glanced over at her, and for a moment, our eyes met. I could see the worry still clouding her thoughts, but her lips curled up just slightly. That was all I needed. I wasn’t giving up. CALLIEThe bell chimed softly as we stepped into the cake shop, the rich scent of vanilla and chocolate filled the air. The baker, a cheerful woman in her forties with flour dusting her apron, welcomed us with a bright smile.“Good afternoon!” she greeted. “You must be the Thompsons?”“That’s us,” Sebastian replied, wrapping an arm around my waist. “Or at least, soon-to-be Thompsons.”I smiled, still thinking about my wedding dress. I had just bought my dream wedding gown… a simple but stunning straight dress. I couldn’t wait to wear it as I walked down the aisle to marry the man standing beside me.The baker ushered us to a cozy table near the counter, where a variety of cake samples had already been laid out. “Alright, let’s get started. These are some of our most popular flavors. Feel free to let me know if there’s something specific you’d like to try.”We sat down, and I immediately reached for a small fork, eager to dive in. CALLIEI was in the kitchen, still in my pajamas, hair tied up in a loose bun, trying to focus on slicing tomatoes without nicking my fingers. The scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, and I found it comforting as I hummed softly to myself.I was just about to layer the slices onto the bread when a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist from behind, pulling me gently against a warm chest.“My fiancée,” Sebastian’s deep voice purred into my ear, sending a shiver down my spine, “what are you cooking?”I smiled, not even bothering to turn around. “My fiancé,” I replied, mimicking his tone, “I’m making sandwiches for breakfast.”He chuckled, the sound vibrating against my back. “Sandwiches?” he murmured, his lips grazing my neck. “I don’t want to eat sandwiches.”I paused, raising an eyebrow as I turned slightly to look at him. “Oh? "Charlotte was released from prison."She blinked at me, clearly not processing the news at first. "What? How? Why?""Yeah," I sighed. "Turns out, they didn’t have enough to hold her. So, she’s free."Callie’s eyebrows shot up, her lips parting in shock. "She’s free? Just like that?"I nodded. "Yeah, just like that. But it’s fine. I’m meeting with Nora tomorrow. We’ll figure this out."She leaned forward, concern etched on her face. "But if she’s out, doesn’t that complicate things? What if she comes after you again?"I smiled, a slow grin spreading across my face. "Charlotte thinks she’s smart, but I’m smarter. I’ve got a plan. A backup plan."She lifted her head. "Backup plan?"I leaned in a little, lowering my voice. "Plan B. It’s time to put it into motion."Callie sat back in her chair, eyes locked on mine
