“That’s right.” Kelsey nodded and asked in confusion, “Is there a problem?”

She wondered if she was overdressed. It would only show Cooper that she was trying too hard.

Tyler looked deep into her eyes and uttered, “Is your makeup too light? The dress you’re wearing is too plain, don’t you think?”

Kelsey had the assets to doll up, but the attire and makeup she opted for obscured her best features.

She pursed her lips. “I think I look fine. My beauty is only meant for you, my husband.”

Kelsey was already doing Cooper a huge favor by attending the birthday party.

If Kelsey had not needed to stop Cooper from harming James and from becoming the heir of the Lyons, she would not have attended the celebration.
