Marissa POV.

It has been a few days since the incident with Zion and Morpheus has been sedated. We can’t risk that happening again.

“Hey, any news?” I look from the laptop as Rowan leans against the doorframe and I shake my head as I rub my eyes.

“No, the structure of this is nothing like I’ve ever seen before. It’s extremely complex. I can’t keep Morpheus sedated for too long without it causing him more problems.” I lean back in my chair as he pushes off the doorframe as he walks closer to my side.

He leans down and looks at the numbers and writing on the screen. His face is close to mine. However, anyone else would feel uncomfortable at the proximity, but not me. I don’t see him like that.

“This is rather complex. However, see this?” He points to the screen and I lean closer to look at it.

“What is that?” I mumble as I zoom in and see the strand of numbers and elements. Oh wow, the element is hidden in the code. I search through the papers on my desk and grab what I’m looking for. L
