Ariah’s POV

When I woke up again, he was gone, there was no sign of Ethan and I had been locked in as he said I would be.

Honestly, I don’t know why I switched on him like that, it was like the root of sadness had just been planted in my heart and all I wanted to hear were the good things I wanted. But then those good things were things I couldn’t get and Ethan wasn’t one that’d lie to me.

I really didn’t want to go back to the pack, not yet, Layla was still there. Oh how I wished she could just disappear, how I wished everyone else who always gave me an awkward stare in the pack could just disappear. If it was just Ethan and I left, I wouldn’t mind, in fact, that was my definition of a perfect world.
