Petal’s POV

The air between us was thick with tension, a mix of something dark and unspoken. As I stepped out of the walk-in closet, clutching my shoes, I found Sebastian standing in the middle of the room, staring at me.

His piercing gaze held something unreadable, something possessive. His eyes roamed over my body, taking in every inch of me with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine.

"What’s with the staring all the time?" I murmured inwardly, feeling my heartbeat quicken.

Just when I thought he would look away, he started walking toward me. Instinctively, I stepped back, but he didn’t stop.

Each step he took, I took one back.

A silent predator and his prey.

My back hit the cold, unforgiving wall, and I knew I was trapped. His presence loomed over me, consuming all the space around me.

He was close. Too close.

An inch apart.

I gasped, my grip on my shoes loosening. Before they could hit the ground, Sebastian’s hands moved swiftly, catching them

Petal’s POV The moment I stepped toward our table, my mother’s eyes scanned me from head to toe, her brows furrowing in concern. “Petal, what happened? Why are you wearing this dress?” she questioned, her voice laced with both worry and confusion. Before I could respond, Samy turned toward me, her wide eyes filled with curiosity. “Yeah, Petal, what’s going on? I thought you were wearing that other dress.” I forced a small smile, gripping the fabric of the gown as if holding onto my resolve. “Calm down, Mom. Samy, you too. It’s just that when I was heading to the washroom, a waiter bumped into me, and drinks got spilled all over my dress. Rebekah Aunt—” I paused, glancing at my mother’s expression, “—Sebastian’s mom, she was there when it happened. She took me with her and made me wear this dress.” I lied. Again. This jerk was making me lie to my own family. I hated it, but what choice did I have? I couldn’t tell them the truth—about the way Sebastian had claimed me in his own twi

Petal's POV As I focused on my plate, trying to ignore his piercing gaze, I continued to eat, deliberately avoiding any eye contact. The atmosphere around the dining table was warm, my family engaged in pleasant conversation, but I felt anything but comfortable. The air around me felt heavy, suffocating, as if I was trapped in an invisible cage. Then, suddenly, I felt it—a firm hand resting on my thigh. My entire body tensed. My fingers froze around the fork, and before I could react, his hand moved, fingers tracing slow, deliberate circles against the fabric of my dress. A jolt of shock shot through me, my stomach tightening in unease. I choked on my food, coughing violently as my throat burned from the unexpected obstruction. My mother, ever so caring, reached out in concern. “Petal, are you okay? Have some water,” she said, her voice filled with worry. I grabbed the glass of water and took a sip, nodding hastily. “Yes, I’m fine, Mom,” I managed to say, my voice slightly shaky. B

petal's pov Sebastian wasted no time. He grabbed my hand in his, his grip firm and unyielding, and pulled me to my feet. My pulse spiked, panic settling deep in my bones as he led me toward the dance floor. My feet felt like they were dragging against the ground, every step closer to him feeling like a step toward my doom. The moment we reached the dance floor, the lights dimmed, and the slow, sensual melody of a song filled the air. He turned to me, his dark, predatory eyes gleaming in the dim light. Without warning, he pulled me flush against his chest, one hand pressing against the small of my back, the other taking my hand in a possessive grip. I stiffened in his hold, feeling the undeniable strength in his embrace. His breath was warm against my temple as he leaned in slightly. "Relax," he murmured, but it didn’t feel like a request. It was an order. He placed his left hand on my waist, fingers pressing into my skin as if he were branding me. His grip was both protective and t

But I barely heard them. Rage ignited within me, and before I could stop myself, I pressed against the wound on his back hand where I stabbed the fork earlier. He winced in pain, his expression twisting in

His Possession“You’ve been mine from the moment I laid eyes on you,” he replied. “You just haven’t realized it yet.”There it was. The truth behind his madness. His obsession wasn’t love. It was domination disguised as desire. He held me there a little longer, not moving, just holding. Not speaking. His breathing deepened. So did mine.In that moment, I didn’t know if I hated him or feared him—or something worse… if I understood him.But one thing was clear. This wasn’t over. Not by a long shot.I don't like how he dominates me. I struggled on his lap. "Stop struggling, flower. You can’t escape punishment."Sebastian’s voice was dangerously calm, but his grip told a different story. His fingers dug into the soft flesh of my thighs and wrists like vices, his body hovering over mine with a terrifying dominance that stole the breath from my lungs.I gasped, fighting against the tears already welling up in my eyes. I kicked, twisted, tried to slip away from his suffocating grasp. But h

Only the faint humming of the city beyond the glass walls echoed in the distance.I pushed myself up from where I’d landed moments ago, the bruising on my pride deeper than anywhere else. He hadn’t said a word since placing me here. And now, he just sat—like a king on a throne—watching me with unsettling intensity. Then he spoke.“Get on my lap. Now. On your stomach.”I blinked. For a moment, I thought I misheard. There was no way he just said that. My mind scrambled for reason.“Sorry?” I asked, hoping for clarification. Hoping I was wrong. His voice came sharper, louder. “I said get on my lap. Now!”I flinched at the force behind his tone. My breath hitched. My heart was pounding—not from fear, exactly—but from the sheer nerve of him. My ears were ringing. Rage started building from the pit of my stomach, climbing up like wildfire in my throat.

petal's povWe moved to the parking lot in silence. He didn’t say a word, and I didn’t dare to break the heavy atmosphere pressing down on us. His tall frame moved ahead of me, his polished black shoes tapping against the concrete as he reached for the car. The passenger door swung open with a swift motion, and he looked at me—his eyes unreadable.I hesitated for a second but got in. My hands trembled slightly as I buckled the seatbelt around me. He shut the door with a click, rounding the car like a shadow looming larger than life. When he slid into the driver's seat beside me, he didn’t start the engine. For a long, tense moment, he just sat there. The engine was off, the world outside muffled, but inside the car, the silence was thick and suffocating. A chilling presence loomed beside our table, drawing my gaze upward—and there he was.Sebastian.Tall, imposing, and dressed in a black suit that clung to his sculpted frame like it had been stitched onto him by the devil himself. The sight of him was enough to make the world still. His stormy grey eyes, darkened by something more than just anger, locked onto Lucas’s hand wrapped around my wrist. No words left his mouth—but he didn’t need to speak. His silence was louder than a thunderstorm. It screamed danger. It screamed mine. The fury rolling off him was so intense, I could practically feel the heat radiating from his body. My pulse quickened, my chest rising and falling faster than it should have. petal's povWhile we sipped on our drinks, Lucas and I talked about a variety of random things. He asked about my college life, my hobbies, and my goals. I answered all his questions with a light heart. Talking to him felt casual and strangely comforting, like a breath of fresh air. He seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say, nodding thoughtfully as I explained how I was studying literature and hoped to work in the creative field someday, maybe as a writer or an artist. Then it was his turn. Lucas told me he was running a business—a successful one, in fact. I was a little surprised when he said he was actually a business rival of Sebastian. That caught my attention immediately. "He's my competition. We’ve both been trying to top the market. The media loves to pit us against each other," he said with a casual shrug and a slight smirk.I found myself growing more curious. He seemed nothing like Sebastian—at least on the surface. Where Sebastian was cold, distant, and often over

The day had been long and tiring, and there’s something magical about sipping a warm espresso while unwinding with soft music in the background. As I packed my things into my tote bag, I turned to my friend Samy."Hey Samy, wanna grab some coffee?" I asked, hopeful that she'd accompany me.She gave me an apologetic smile. "No babe, I can't. Enjoy your date," I replied, masking my loneliness. She gently patted my shoulder. "Ok, you too. Head home early, don’t stay outside too long, alright?""Oh I will, don’t worry. Just a quick coffee and I’ll return," I reassured her with a small smile. We hugged briefly and said goodbye before heading in different directions.
