Trouble after trouble, a problem after the other, that was all I knew was going to happen by working as Prince Kael’s personal slave, that was everything I expected, and I knew it was going to happen.

When we got to his quarters, he directed the other maids to their different positions, except me. My heart kept thumping hard in my chest, I tried so hard now to show my fear, but I couldn’t control the constant shaking of my hands.

He turned to me every minute, and I would stop walking, wondering if he has anything to say to me, but he would just resume back walking without saying anything, leaving me confused and frustrated.
